Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for typing, distribution and maintenance of all correspondences, reports, minutes and records relating to the Department of Nursing while maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
2. Establishes, implements and maintains the Nursing Office personnel files and other administrative records maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
3. Records the minutes of Department of Nursing's committee meetings/ Head Nurses Meeting as assigned by the Nursing Administrative Assistant.
Responsible for a wide variety of paperwork related to employees assigned within the Department of Nursing.
5. Maintains appointment book and the scheduling of meetings and serves as a receptionist.
6. Liaises with Nursing Administrative Assistant regarding maintaining and ordering office stock and food supplies.
7. Assists the nursing staff with information relating to the Department as well as interdepartmental, administration and education correspondence.
8. Performs key duties of the Nursing Administrative Assistant in her absence.
9. Maintains a professional relationship with nursing, medical and other ancillary staff.
Adheres to the Department of Nursing's Standards of Courtesy; adheres to the hospital policies related to dress code, punctuality and chain of command.
Reports any occurrence not consistent with the operation of the hospital or standard of service for patients, employees or visitors and situations which put patients, staff, or visitors at risk for injury or other harm.
Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of my knowledge, skills and abilities.
Regularly maintains the records of evaluation for recontracting and probe, overtime, termination, license of all staff etc .
Prepares recontracting and probationary evaluation forms of all staff in the Department of Nursing fon a monthly basis or as need arises.
Prepares other related forms needed by the staff or the Department.
Achievements :
Formatted all forms to be printed in a dot matrix printer.
Enters all data in the computer of more than 700 staff in a data base program for computerization of the department.
