Configure Users on the RISC6000/AIX4.1 and on the SXe 3.1 (Trend) CHUI and GUI
Configured security to Logon, Mail, Telnet and FTP to the RISC Box 4.3

Progress Database Admin./ Developer ver 8.3c in CHUI and GUI 8.3b.
Interfaced our Progress character base Database with a Progress GUI Database from two different machines.
Project Leader for interfacing the Progress Database 8.3b with an Oracle Database and Access/ VB Database.
Responsible for the migration of the Trend programs and Database from the RISC6000 to the HP9000.
Rolled out Trend to at least 50 Various Branches in North America, setting up over 400 users and at least 200 printers on the HP9000 UX.
Wrote a Progress 8.3c program and a Unix script for use by the Help Desk. This allowed the Help Desk to kill print
processors and users, change user passwords, lock users in Trend and in UNIX, and track all logged on users.
Project Leader for consolidating IKONs multiple nationwide Invoice Statements to one type of billing statement using TREND in Progres 8.3c CHUI. This project took better part of a year resulting in all billing housed out of two central areas, not by individual businesses.
Wrote in Progress 8.3x as part of Trend to interface reports via TCP/IP to enable users to automatically send reports to their PC as texts.
6 months project working with Apptivity 3.0, checking to see if it was feasible to Work in the Trend environment.
Built a Linux 6.1 O/S to hold a Progress 8.3b and upgraded to 9.1b Database. I modified the Kernal to be able to Run the New GUI 8.3b. I used SCO Unix Lib files to do it. It wasnt Until 1 year later that Progress had an update.

The backbone was on an AS/400 Network through Windows3.11.
Project Leader. Put together and designed a software system to organize Orange Co. of Floridas fruit processing and delivery system (i.e. a Land Management System).
Established meetings with Managers and Programmers.
Visited orange groves to gain insights on tree maintenance, land control (legal issues), harvesting and deliveries, weighing and processing at the plant .

Upgraded their finance program to Visual Basic 2.0. from BASIC. It took better part of a year to complete.

IT Manager - Staff of 4 consultants writing in PROGRESS (4GL).
Responsibilities were annual budget, scheduling, staffing, evaluation, hiring, educating, and coaching.
Taught classes in Progress 7.3a for companies like QAD, Coca Cola co., Hanes T-Shirt, and Nike.
Project Leader for the Labor Distribution for Unilever. Modified and also rewrote much of the Labor
Distribution procedures for QAD (MFG/PRO 7.3).
Project Leader for the Payroll interface for Ohmeda (BOC). Created and partially designed the interface.
Wrote the procedure to resemble MFG/PRO. Designed programs to create Table files to edit raw data.
Wrote CIM interface to add raw data for modification to load files to the CIM Load Program.
Added a new database for the Table Master files and index.
Modified BASIC programs to Visual Basic 4.0 for a CPA firm. Rewrote most of the codes.
Project Leader to upgrade GTE Business Long Distance call billing to a new computer system (4 months duration).
