My name is Elva Julie Cois, a Filipina currently living in Baguio City, Philippines. At this time, I am not looking for a job for myself (as I am in the process of being hired by my own Canadian employer already), but instead, looking for caregiving positions for some friends, and fellow graduates of the caregiving course offered in my country. I know how difficult it is to find an employer (much less a number) who is willing to help a prospective caregiver enter Canada as this takes time. Nonetheless, I place this ad on this website in the hope that people in Canada who need caregivers will give us a try. Dozens upon dozens of good, reliable, hard-working Filipinos, both male and female have taken up the caregiving course (a requirement of the Canadian embassy for would-be applicants) in the hope that an opening for a caregiving job in Canada would soon follow. This, however, is not the case as finding employment via agencies is expensive and does not guarantee a job in Canada. These people that I would want to help are willing to pay for their own processing fees at the embassy as well as pay for their own plane ticket, should employment be assured to them by EMPLOYERS ONLY and not agencies in Canada who charge a prospective employer a huge sum there then charge the same amount from the prospective employee here.
To employers in Canada who need caregivers, this is your oppurtunity to forego the expensive fees required by agencies there. As a caregiver who, has passed thru the eye of a needle to be employed via this same website by my employer in Alberta, I guarantee that this is no wild goosechase. If you can trust my judgement, I shall be able to recommend a caregiver that will meet your requirements as I will do the screening.
First and foremost, I would appreciate it if you were to pray about your decision before contacting me. I believe that God knows what's best for each employer.
