I was able to make and submit to the Plant Manager, a Canadian citizen, a project proposal increasing the production by 20% at the “Nail Packing Section”. The proposal was to conveyorized the process to maximize the output capacity of the five nail dispensing machines and distribute evenly the manpower currently available.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Daily activity starts by meeting with Quality Control Supervisor to discuss development and other related works concerning quality department.
-Conduct hourly physical inspection in the following production or process areas;
1. Get the Baume’ concentration of flux and acid at Galvanizing area.
2. Record the temperature and level of zinc bath at Galvanizing area and check the temperature at annealing furnace.
3. Get the actual size of each galvanized wire from the 60 coilers at the Galvanizing area and check for wire texture.
4. Get the actual size of drawn wire at 9 drawing machines at the Drawing area.
5. Get the actual size output of 41 nail machines and checks its packaging, labeling and storage.
6. Get the actual size of wire used in the production of chainlink, clothes hanger and barbwire.
-Report all discrepancies or process deviations to the area supervisors concerned based on the above inspection.
-Check the following properties of Galvanized wire harvested from each coiler, based on customer specification;
