POSITION: Senior Systems Analyst (October 1, 1998 – January 31, 2002)

Primary duties include:

o Provide second-level hardware and software application support for computer equipment and applications to System Coordinators and end users of five (5) separate bottling plants in the CCBPI system in the southern part of the Philippines.
o Initiates and develop designs and improvements in computer systems under the AS/400 platform and WinNT Client/Server environment and introduce new applications for Workgroups and desktop users.
o Coordinate with corporate infrastructure and information technology group for project pre/post-implementations in ERP modules in Finance, Logistics, Human Resources and Sales/Marketing related to business information systems.
o Develop in-house ad hoc programs and solutions to address immediate user needs in the computing processes of the five (5) plants in the area. Design and implement other supportive application and programs using applicable software and tools (Intranet/Internet/Web or Desktop) to improve user generative job functions.
o Report and document system problems to third level support at Head Office for further systems analysis and resolution.

1) As TEAM LEADER and DB DESIGNER, part of the team that successfully developed a data warehousing design - interfacing and consolidation of diverse databases and system platforms into a central database tables - to be used by Senior management as a benchmarking tool to monitor the financial, sales and marketing, operational performance of the company.

Roles and responsibilities:

o Spearheaded the schema design of the database project and conducted period presentation updates to corporate managers and discuss various concerns and development stages of project.
o Established, tracked and assessed project goals, plans, issues, timelines, and action items pertaining to data extraction from the AS/400 database and Excel CSV data and SAP R/3 tables into the Oracle database using Mercator tools and OLAP/ROLAP methodology of Hyperion Essbase.
o Collaborated with the team members in identifying appropriate technology enabled solutions and process improvements.
o Development of procedures for database migration.

A project to consolidate the sales information system of the company’s 24 plants in the Philippines.

Roles and responsibilities:

o Conducted presentation modules and end user training on the new centralized system.
o Analyze existing COBOL/RPG/CL/OCL applications in the AS/400 and submit coding changes and problems to internal/external programmers for revisions or enhancements.
o Facilitated the identification and resolution of issues and the preparation of status materials/reports.
o Ensured project business designs satisfy business requirements and achieve business objectives.

3) As PROJECT LEADER, successfully rolled-out implementation of the PC-based Beverage Information System to forty three (43) offsite sales office in the Coca-Cola system to interface sales and accounting/settlement data to and from these off-sites to their respective mother plants.

Roles and responsibilities:

o Revised generic system to conform to local requirements.
o Develop interface and connectivity programs from EBCDIC to ASCII data formats.

o Configured off-site PCs and network protocols to accept and transmit data to the AS/400 server.

4) As PROJECT COORDINATOR, a coordinating member of the Y2K Rollover project ensuring compliancy of software and hardware instruments and remediation to Year 2000 rollover

o Remediate PC legacy systems and date coding changes to conform to Y2K compliancy.

5) As TECHNICAL SUPPORT, in the AS/400 migration project - operational transfer of Visayas Region AS/400 database and objects and system files for centralization of four (4) S/36 sites to a single AS/400 national computer center.

Roles and responsibilities:

o Modify user profiles and library/object authorization list to new AS/400 native formats.
o Coded and optimized stored procedures, SQL queries and triggers from S/36 format to AS/400 format.
o Assisted users during validation, orientation and walk-through.
o Performed database administrative tasks such as creation of database objects like users, tables, granting of permissions, performance monitoring and fine-tuning, data conversion, and database backup and recovery.

POSITION: Systems Coordinator (September 1, 1993 – September 30, 1998)

Primary duties include:

o Monitoring and administration of all computer equipment in the plant inclusive of hardware repair & troubleshooting, software installation and upgrades, virus installation, network setup
o Generate reports and data extractions from the S36-based sales information system using suitable computer application tools such as Query/400, SQL/400 and Foxpro/Dbase RDBMS as required by management to monitor the plants sales and financial performance.
o Validates and monitor application inputs/outputs and data linkages of legacy systems on General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable-Trade, Payroll, Finished Goods and Freights Payable particularly during month-end financial closing.
o Update and maintain vital databases in the AS/400 system such as Outlet Master, Article Master, Sales database, Settlement files, Installation Codes, Sales Accounting, Personnel Master files and validates its accuracy, integrity and conformity to data and system standards. Monitor system interactive and batch jobs and fix system errors caused about by user jobs.
o Oversee the data and voice inter-networking connections within the plant and it’s sales offices under dial-up modems, PABX system, ISDN leased-lines and later satellite/telephony systems.
o Working with other department’s users in their concerns to enhance productivity and efficiency through the use of computers in report preparation and spreadsheet analysis.
o Conduct inventory of computer equipment and maintain supply level of computer supplies and peripherals.
