Caltex Refinery Philippines—Centralized Tank Gauging System
Project located at Batangas City, Philippines
Enhanced monitoring of level, pressure, flow and other valuable variables of liquids and gases inside the refinery tanks, made through the upgrading of OS2 based system to SAAB Tankmaster monitoring system. The measurements were certified by their standards to ensure accuracies down to millimeter scales. Real-time tank variables are measured and monitored by SAAB tank radar level gauges, transmitted to Data Acquisition Units (DAU) to Field Control Units (FCU) to the DCS and Man-Machine Interface panels.
Work duties primarily include the primary upgrading of the OS2 based system to windows based system using the Tankmaster software, with minimal time loss. Field to DCS communications are intensively rearranged according to the new specifications for bit addressing. Responsibilities also include functional testing, laboratory simulation, calibration, commissioning and start-up, as-builting of schematic, wiring, loop and termination drawings using AutoCAD 2000 software.
Laguna Technopark Inc.-Philippines—Water Distribution System Automation
Project located at Laguna, Philippines.
System automation using Motorola SCADA (MOSCAD) and National Instruments Lookout SCADA, a radio based monitoring and control of deep well water source stations to booster pumps, to reservoir tanks and filtration/treatment facilities. All remote stations transmit and receive monitoring and control signals from the central control room through the radio-based remote terminal units of MOSCAD. Water level and volume, pressure and flow are maintained through variable motor speed drive control of pumps, based on supply and demand logic sequencers.
Work duties primarily include design and ladder/logic programming of MOSCAD units and N.I. Lookout SCADA Man-Machine interface. Other responsibilities include functional testing, laboratory simulation, calibration, commissioning and start-up, as-builting of schematic, logic, ladder, wiring, loop and termination drawings using AutoCAD 2000 software.
National Irrigation Authority—Telemetering of Masiway Dam
Project located at Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija, Philippines
Critical monitoring of dam reservoir water level and flow, kilometers away from the central control room, this project utilizes MOSCAD radio based remote terminal units (RTU) to control room communication. N.I. Lookout is used as the man-machine interface. With remote alarm stations on towns downstream, also controlled through radio from the control room.
INTEL Philippines MN2 Plant—Centralized Temperature and RH Monitoring System
Project located at Bangkal, Makati City, Philippines
Intensive monitoring of laboratory and process area temperature, pressure and humidity, this centralized system uses digital sensors connected to N.I. Field Point units, which transmits signals directly to a monitoring computer in the engineering room where and N.I. Lookout is installed as a man-machine interface.
Work duties primarily include design and logic programming of N.I. Field Point units and N.I. Lookout SCADA Man-Machine interface. Other responsibilities include functional testing, laboratory simulation, calibration, commissioning and start-up, as-builting of schematic, logic, wiring, loop and termination drawings using AutoCAD 2000 software.
