Nov 00 – date Company: JDA Asia Pacific Pte Ltd Position: Analyst Progammer
JDA is a software house which develops retail applications. Working from the Singapore office, I have been involved in several different projects. I assisted with the implementation of the retail system for DreamAsia, a cosmetics vendor in Hong Kong. I have also spent additional time in Australia, performing programming, technical analysis and design work for a number of clients, e.g. Coles Myer, David Jones, as well as some base development work. I have also been involved with the Business Process and Technical Analysis for Metro, a Singaporean retail outlet, and continue to provide support for this project.
Training undertaken: Functional Overview Course, Technical Design Overview course, SDI (System Data Interchange) Technical Overview course.

May – Aug 00 Company: JDA Software Australia Position: Contract Software Developer
During this contract I was involved in the Target project. My responsibilities included development of new interfaces in Uniface, PL/SQL programming, unit testing, retrofitting, and fault fixing on an Oracle platform. I was primarily assigned to the development of a new centralised interface to the existing application handling stock returns to vendors.

Aug 98-Nov 99 Company: Lynx Financial Systems Position: Software Developer
A software house providing both off-the-shelf, and bespoke financial software for several large companies including BMW, Barclays and National Westminster Banks.
My duties included the support, including customer support/guidance, of several different products within the company, and the development of new interfaces. The software is written and maintained in Uniface, on an Oracle platform. The development work was undertaken for BCC – British Car Contracts, and BMW. The latter was a major piece of work to produce Service Leasing software. This involved large amounts of coding and some decisions on the design aspects of the development life cycle.
Training undertaken: Compuware Uniface course (1 week), Lynx IT Training SQL/PL-SQL course (3 days), Principles of Instalment Credit course (1 week), Software Induction Training course (4 weeks).

Oct 96-April 98 Company: IBM (Microroute Ltd.) Position: Installation Engineer
Microroute manages contracts for major computer vendors throughout the UK.
This contract involved the phased implementation of new IT solutions for a national bank network. The first phase involved the installation and configuration of a skeletal structure, comprised of a UPS, server, hubs, workstations and printers. Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 was implemented on the server and workstations. In the second phase of the process, the remaining workstations and additional equipment were installed, the remaining legacy removed and the bank's operations transferred over to the new system.

Leisure Activities

I enjoy collecting records and Disc Jockeying. I have played on numerous radio shows and produce tapes. I have also begun to learn how to use samplers and computer software to produce my own music.
I currently keep myself fit by attending a gym. Being away from home, I have a varied social life meeting many new people, and keep in touch with family and friends at home as much as possible.
