Work Description:
- Responsible in operating, installing, and maintaining Philippine Telegraph and Telephone Company (PT&T) and SuperCom’s communications equipment such as line terminal devices, multiplexing equipment (DSLAM), inter-network connection equipment (gateway, bridge, spanning tree, router, and switch), and line connection equipment (E1 modems).
- Responsible in implementing PT&T/SuperCom’s telecommunications services such as leased line service, packet switching service, VPN, frame relay, IP connection service, wireless broadband, and DSL.
- Responsible for the evaluating, testing, and documenting new PT&T product and equipment for DSL such as VoIP and RAS, Wireless broadband, etc.
- Performs series of testing including but not limited to bit error rate test, line resistance test, line qualifying, modem and other data communication equipment which may be necessary for the restoration procedures.
- Handles Datacom testing instruments, Datacom systems, transmission facilities, outside plant, SDH, cable distribution, radio facilities, PC networking LAN/WAN.
- Responsible in installing and operating communications equipment (Baseband/Broadband modems) at PT&T/SuperCom client sites.
- Responsible for coordinating and assisting PT&T and 3rd party technical group FMO to isolate, establish circuits stability and reliability of PT&T and SuperCom networks.
- Responsible in ensuring quality of service to customers as stated on the service level agreements such as configuration of client server for DSL, speed test transmission, mean time to restore.
