JOB OBJECTIVE:
 Provide advance technical expertise on Power Plant Chemistry for better unit availability, reliability and performance.
 Also Air & Water Pollution Monitoring, Waste Management, regulatory compliance and techno-legal support in field of Environment Management.

JOB EXPERIENCE:
 Hand on experience of Operation, supervising and trouble shooting of Water Treatment Plant of various capacities including pretreatment plant, water softener, de-mineralization, etc.
 Commissioning of Water Treatment Plant, performance testing and taking over, boiler chemical cleaning, etc.
 Monitoring, chemical treatment, preservation and restoration during abnormal condition like startup, shutdown, condenser tube leakage, boiler tube leakage, etc.
 Set up various laboratories for monitoring of power plant chemistry and pollution monitoring with modern analytical instruments.
 Monitoring and commissioning of online instruments in water treatment plant, cooling water and boiler water/ steam sampling table.
 Experience of managing laboratory for water, fuel oil, coal, gas and lubricant analysis and interpretation.
 Worked with modern instrument like ICP – Atomic emission, AAS, Ion chromatograph, gas chromatograph, proximate and ultimate coal analyzer, bomb calorimeter, etc.
 O&M budgeting and budget monitoring for Chemical and Environment section.
 Solid Waste, Liquid Waste and effluent Management and minimization.
 Liaison with Environmental authorities and techno-legal support to legal group for Environment cases.
 Procedure and auditing for ISO 9000 & ISO 14000 certification.

EDUCATION:
1. B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry from University of Burdwan in II – Class with 58.5%.
2. M.Sc. Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in ‘A’ Grade with 79.4%.
3. M.S. Engg (Environmental) from Kensington University, USA through Distance learning – DLP in ‘B’ Grade between 80 – 89%.
4. PG Dip in Environmental Law – DLP from National Law School of India University – Bangalore with 52%.
5. PG Dip in Ecology and Environment – DLP from Indian Institute of Ecology & environment in ‘A’ Grade with 62.4%.

ORGANISATIONS SERVED:
1. GE BetzDearborn - Providing Integrated Water Management and Treatment to Industries working as Technical Consultant and reporting to Vice President from December 2001 – till date.
2. OFFSHORE POWER OPERATIONS C.V. (ENRON): Dabhol Power Plant, Phase I - 740 MW with liquid fuel Naphtha based plant having SPM facilities for liquid fuel unloading. Phase II under construction and commissioning - 1410 MW with LNG unloading and re-gasification facility. Worked as Manager – Environment and Chemical Services, Reporting to Energy Complex Manager between November 1997 – December 2001.
3. BSES: Dahanu Thermal Power Plant - 500MW Coal Based power plant situated on a wetland, an unique power plant as Dahanu is declared as Environment fragile area in Govt. of India Notification 1992. Coal source indigenous and imported, also washed indigenous. Worked as Manager – Chemistry & Environment was reporting to Sr. Manager (Operations) between June 1996 to October 1997.
4. NTPC: National Capital Region Power Plant, Ghaziabad - 800 MW coal based and 816 MW Gas based. Worked as Dy. Manager – Chemistry and was reporting to Manager (Chemistry) between July 1993 to June 1996.
5. NTPC: Korba Super Thermal Power Station – 2100 MW coal base power plant. Worked as Chemist/ Senior Chemist and was reporting to Dy.Manager/ Manager (Chemistry) between Aug 1985 to July 1993.
