Basic Function and Responsibility:
Responsible for rendering nursing care to patients. Prepares medicine and other supplies need by the patient.Administering medications accurately and record them. Takes and records vital signs. Assist the physician of the
procedure and carry out according to accepted standard.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Receives endorsement. Makes round with outgoing/incoming shift and check patient if they are comfortable. Check ward equipment if they are clean and in they're proper places.
· Receives endorses patients, patient's charts , equipment in the ward and request supplies needed.
· Prepares and takes round with Doctor.
· Plans and provides the basic care according to the priority needs of the patient.
· Carries Doctors order promptly and accurately. Give medications as prescribed by the Doctor and record them
· Check and record accurate intake and output of the patient.
· Suction secretions of the patient, giving oxygen inhalation accurately as ordered by the physician.
· Assist in IVF insertion, urinary catheter insertion and NGT insertion
· Assist in dressing of wounds especially to post operative patients
· Assist in minor procedures done in the ward.
· Collaborates with other health care team members in delivery of health careservices for patients.
· Maintain a safe environment for patients and strives to meet their maximum security and comport needs.
· Evaluate response of patient plan of care and nursing interventions and revise patient care to meet changing needs.
