Company : Pac-atlantic Holdings
Pac-Atlantic holding is a group of companies that provide services such as Freight Forwarding; Custom bonded warehousing, Brokerage, Adjuster and Airfreight. A pac-Atlantic holding is composing of 12 companies, and it has 230+ employees.

POSITION: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER (From March ‘01 to Present)
Basic Function
Plan, organize, direct and administer company's computer resources such as software, hardware and people to efficiently and effectively meet the information needs of the company.
Responsibility:
1. Defines the group’s information requirements with the end-users and provide support in implementing appropriate solutions to these needs.
2. Reviews long-range systems plans, contingency plans, security policies and ensures that these are properly addressed and implemented.
3. Direct systems development, implementations and maintenance.
4. Physical and logical security of the Information systems.
5. E-Mail and web-site requirements of the group as well as the review of security requirements aspects of E-Mail, recommends security solutions and ensures proper implementations of the approved security solutions.

Projects Undertaken.
1. Set-up and installation of Network both for Local Area Network, Wide Area Network.
· PAC-ATLANTIC Holdings has 80 local PC and 3 servers under the platform of Windows NT.
· It has branch in Manila and Cebu, which is both connected through lease line with 64kbps.

2. Design, develop, install and implement in-house financial systems.
· General Ledger.
- General ledger system is multi-users, multi-company and it has capabilities to consolidate all financial reports for the whole group of companies.

3. Design, develop, install and implement website and Intranet for each companies.
4. Manage and maintain 80 emails with unlimited mailbox with the speed of 256kbps, the companies running under ADSL lease lines.

The Ingasco, inc. company is joint venture of Japanese Firm(Nippon Sanso) and Filipino. And it has an asset of 1 billion pesos.
Ingasco, Inc. is the biggest and the only computerized Manufacturing plant in terms of natural gases in the Philippines.

A. INFORMATION SYSTEMS MANAGER (From March ‘99 to Feb. ‘01)
Basic Function:
Plan, Organize, direct and administer company's computer resources such as software, hardware and people to efficiently and effectively meet the information needs of the company.

Responsibilities:
1. Define the company's information requirements with end-users and provide support in implementing appropriate solutions to these needs.
2. Develop and monitor budgeting and resource requirements, prepare expenses and capital budget recommendations and monitor and reconcile expenditures.
3. Reviews long-range systems plans, contingency plans, security policies and ensures that these are properly addresses and implemented.
4. Ensures compliance to policies and procedures, standards and practices pertaining to the following:
5. Systems development and implementation as well as on-going maintenance.
6. Programming techniques and documentation.
7. Physical and logical security of the Information Systems.
8. Exercise administrative control over all personnel under his supervision.

Supervises:
Systems Analyst/Programmer, LAN Administrator, Junior Programmer.
Basic Function:
Oversees the systems development activities of the unit such as system design programming and systems installation including the selection and installation of equipment.

Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop system solutions to the company's Information requirements.
2. Manage the development of detailed system specification and data base structure.
3. Develops standard design and development procedures.
4. Ensures progress of development projects to be on time and within the budget allocated for such projects.
5. Exercise administrative control over all personnel under his supervision.

Operating Environment:
1. Coordinate application projects with various users departments and with the MIS department for project administration, personnel assignments and information reviews; write functional specification, perform system analysis and design and prepare documentation for application projects.
2. Establish schedules and progress reports for analysis and programming activities.
3. Liaison with application users regarding the use of the Company's application systems and productivity and office automation tools. Determine training needs and users and develop training plan covering not only the application but also the company's productivity and office automation.
4. Establish data standards and security procedures for both software and physical protection. Develops and test corporate database recovery plans and ensure that data to be restored are timely and contains no referential integrity.
5. Provides users support by means of training and instruction, ad-hoc instructions for specific systems and analysis and testing programs to be loaded in the server and workstation and the new technology.

To review company operations, recommend changes on the existing systems and develop detailed systems specifications and database structure and subsequent installation and documents; proposed changes in the systems reviewed to be carried out in a systematic manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Study and evaluate existing systems by conducting interview and inquiry to identify areas for improvements.
2. Develops structured systems design policies and procedures to the proposed improvements.
3. Perform coding and testing of data to validate programs being developed.
4. Conducts a presentation of the recommended systems to users department and documents approved systems.


D. COMPUTER PROGRAMMER. (January 1994 - March 1995/1 year)
Report to:
Information System Supervisor/Manager.
Basic Function:
To design programs that would enhance work productivity and eliminate rebudancy and streamline manual procedures through a well structured computerized systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform coding and testing of data and to validate programs being develop.
2. Conducts a presentation of the recommended systems to users departments and documents approved system.

Project Undertaken:
1. Accounts Receivable.
Accounts receivable is develop under clipper 5.3 and it is multi-users. The A/R is running under the platform of windows NT, and as of now, A/R is being parallel to LINUX red hat server.
The A/R handle all our sales, collections, billing, invoicing and other management reports and analysis. It also handles our cylinder monitoring.

2. Sales Order.
Sales order systems is develop under clipper 5.3 and it is also a multi users running under Windows NT. Sales orders systems handle all on-line order and inquiries of customers A/R accounts and Cylinder holdings. The sales order has a linked to other systems such as Inventory of Finish goods, A/R and Cylinder Monitoring Systems.

3. Purchase Order System.
Purchase order systems is develop under clipper 5.3 and it is also a multi-users running under Windows NT. Purchase Order system resided all the suppliers profile, Items supplied and Price of its supplier per items. The purchase order systems, linked to Inventory systems of Raw and Office supplies inventory and Accounts Payable Systems.

4. Raw Material and Office Supplies Inventory systems.
This system is also multi-users systems and it was been develop under clipper 5.3 and it was linked to Purchase Order System, Accounts Payable System and General Ledger system.

5. Finish Goods Inventory.
The Finish goods inventory system was develop under clipper 5.3 and it is also a multi-users running under Windows NT. It has a linked to Sales Order, Accounts receivable, and General ledger.

6. Accounts Payable and Check Disbursement.
Accounts payable system was develop under clipper 5.3 and it is also a multi-users running under windows Nt.

7. General Ledger
General Ledger system was develop under clipper 5.3 and it is also multi-users running under Windows Nt. And is linked to A/P, A/R, and Inventory.
