Initiated and established GIS and Remote Sensing Facility along with Institutional Computer Facility as part of a larger goal of preparing Village Level Natural Resource Information Systems for the District.
Initiated systematic documentation and mapping of regional groundwater resources and sea water intrusion in the coastal areas and planning for their participatory management using watershed approach.
Brought overall perspective change, generated baseline maps and database, hitherto unavailable for the region, managed recognition and support from state government departments and agencies towards the digital technology.
Initiated the concept of participatory village drought proofing based on vulnerability of affected populace, with an objective of bringing technology to grass root level.
Bagged prestigious rupees 15 million project for drought proofing planning funded by Prime Minister’s Relief Fund (PMRF) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), for rehabilitation of earthquake & drought affected villages of Kachchh.
