AEI is mandated under ASEAN to make a specific contribution to strengthening relations between Asia and Europe in higher learning, scholarships and research. Specifically AEI’s role is related to developing human resources and research capacity.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Assess and risk stratify medical life insurance applications, as well as to underwrite financial risks
Assigned to train and develop personnel at lower level and mid-level management in the organization, in addition to evaluate and appraise performances of staff.
To increase and improve sales force competencies in meeting sales quotas.
Adjudicate claims and assist in claims processing. As well as liaising with foreign re-insurers in matters pertaining to severe medical disorders or doubtful financial risks.
Interacting with existing and potential clients of the company to solve pertinent enquiries.

ADDED VALUE CONTRIBUTION

Devised a radical procedure to screen and select insurance applicants based on Body Mass Index measurements, which was accepted by the foreign re-insurers. This method reduced the company’s medical costs in terms of anti-selection risks.
Successfully devised a mortality ratings value for sub-standard risks, which increased prudent underwriting and in the long run forecasted to increase company’s marginal revenue.
Achieved sales performance targets for a selected group of life insurance agents.

A diagnostic and clinical laboratory, which employs microbiologists, immunologists, biochemists and geneticists.

JOB FUNCTION

Daily testing of blood, serum, faecal matter, urine samples and cerebro-spinal fluid.
Tests include HIV-I&II Antibodies, Hepatitis B&C, Genetic markers, Immunoglobulins and Tumor markers. Interpretation and analyzing data to be communicated to doctors and patients.
Also includes inventory and laboratory management.

VALUE ADDED CONTRIBUTION

Reliability and testing accuracy significantly improved to eliminate occurrence of false positive and false negative results.
Improved inventory management, increased stock turnover and capacity utilization rate of all scientific equipment.
