PREVIOUS EMPLOYERS’ BACKGROUND

USAID/DAI-SWIFT

SWIFT (Support With Implementing Fast Transition), is managed by an American corporation, Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI), and is funded by USAID, was designed to reinforce the September 1996 Peace Agreement between the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) and the Government of the Philippines (GOP). It builds on the livelihood projects primarily through a program of small Transition Assistance Grants (TAGs) wherein in-kind materials, trainings, or technical assistance are given in conjunction with counterpart resources from GOP line agencies.

This program consists of field officers, program engineers, progress analysts, monitoring officers, and project support staff. Its satellite offices are based in Cotabato City and Iligan City. Its main office is located in Davao City.


THE MINDANAO CROSS

The Mindanao Cross was the first Catholic publication founded by the Oblate Priests in 1948 and is widely circulated throughout Central Mindanao which comes out every Wednesday and Saturday of the week. With its logo, “The Little Paper with a Big Cause”, the paper is dedicated to build community spirit and consciousness, and help strengthen faith.

Up to the present, Mindanao Cross has consistently placed as the number one local newspaper in Central Mindanao.


NOTRE DAME BROADCASTING CORPORATION

The NDBC (Notre Dame Broadcasting Corporation) is a broadcasting network formulated by the Oblate Priests which evolved from its first founded radio station, DXMS. NDBC has five existing radio stations: two AM (DXMS and DXND) and three FM (DXOL, DXDM, DXOM).

DXMS was introduced in 1956 by the Oblate Priests and it was the first Catholic commercial radio station in Cotabato City and the very first religious commercial radio station in the entire Philippines.

DXMS-AM and DXOL-FM are in Cotabato City, Phils., and DXND-AM and DXDM-FM are in Kidapawan City, Phils. DXOM-FM is in Koronadal City, Phils. For the past few years, DXMS and DXOL have topped the radio survey in Cotabato City, and DXND and DXDM are the first radio stations in Kidapawan City. DXOM is the first FM station in Koronadal City.

These radio stations can broadcast simultaneously and have the capability of effectively reaching ten provinces and seven cities in Mindanao, covering South Cotabato to Zamboanga del Norte corridor.

Throughout the years, these stations have consistently pursued the goals of evangelization and continue to become an effective instrument in the promotion of the transformation of society to a just and humane one.
