Artist. As a working student I worked for 4 hours a day, 5 days a week during my vacant hours. I was responsible for the designs and execution of McDonald’s promotional materials such as posters, banners, teasers, standees, etc. I also worked as a crew, mopping floors, washing utensils, cooking hamburgers and French fries.

Production Designer. I was one of the production designers of the first major concert of the band Eraserheads entitled “Jamboree,” held at the Folk Arts Theater. It showcased graphic and interactive visual effects with the use of 3 giant video screens as the background. We designed a series of ramps for the bmx riders and rollerbladers. I also designed the stage layout, costumes, sets and props.

Design Studio and BMG Records Pilipinas Creative Director John Joel Lopez, I was able to design the album cover, layout and the computer generated icons of the 3rd Eraserheads album “Cutterpillow.” I was aided with Macintosh computers and IBM PC’s using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Pagemaker and Corel softwares. Also included in the task is the design of the posters, teasers, tickets, t-shirts, production passes and the privilege cards.

After winning the 1997 MTV Asian Video Music Awards in New York City, U.S.A., BMG Records Pilipinas threw a victory party for the Eraserheads at the Music Museum in Greenhills. My task was to support and assist the Eraserheads during the show. The show had a live instrumental setup and was live via satellite throughout Asia.
