For the past few years, I have been involved in Construction Management in Saipan. While this has been interesting, I would like to move on to larger, more challenging projects in the Pacific Asia area.

WORK EXPERIENCE

EFC Engineers & Architects - Saipan, CNMI
Project Engineer 9/95 to Present

Reported directly to company president with responsibility for project administration and management on multiple concurrent projects. Work included preparation of design and bid documents, progress tracking, site inspection and meetings, quality and safety monitoring, and project close-out. Coordinated and supervised work between multinational subcontractors and outside A/E design firms. Functioned as Lead Construction Manager and supervised junior engineers.

Washington State University - Pullman, Washington
Teaching/Research Assistant 1/94 to 8/95

Involved in conceptual design and feasibility study of tele-operated robotics utilizing magnetorheologic fluids as a tactile feedback mechanism. Analyzed a proposed model reduction method in structural dynamics utilizing a reduced eigenspace. Completed advance course work in dynamic control theory, structural vibration, and mathematics.

Puget Sound Naval Shipyard - Bremerton, Washington
Nuclear Refueling Engineer 1/92 to 1/94

Responsible for providing technical direction and expertise on the maintenance and repair of nuclear refueling equipment. Served as liaison between the Shipyard, NAVSEA, and Prime Contractors. Ensured stringent quality and safety standards were incorporated into work procedures. Conceived, designed, and justified modifications to refueling equipment to improve production, and eliminate costly failures.

Received shipyard award for productivity and personal contribution to refueling department.

Kimberly Clark Corporation - Fullerton, California
Engineer Intern 6/90 to 1/91

Responsible for the design, installation, and startup of various production department projects. Provided advance planning of work effort to ensure timely completion of work during scheduled mill shut down period. Directed maintenance staff during trouble shooting and repair operations. Conceived and designed several solutions to eliminate recurring system failures.


Pan American World Services - Bangor, Washington
Lead Mechanic 1/85 to 12/90

Responsible for the daily operation of the heavy equipment repair facility. Eliminated existing work backlog while improving shop quality rating. Diagnosed and repaired mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
