II. Project Summary
(i) Project: Parcel Mapping
Client: Sidwell Co, USA
Software’s used: Microstation-J and AutoCad.
My Role: Team Leader
Description: This project is mainly deals with converting Tax maps given by the client in to Digital format using dimensions. The process begins with geo-positioning the input by setting up map units and precision. And capturing the available data from the given Tax maps and satellite images according to the specifications given by the client.
Responsibilities: Preparation of Job cards and estimating the work based on the clients requirement and completely handling Q.C activities and assuring to meet the client satisfaction.
(ii) Project: Geometric Enhancement
Client: Geographic Data Technologies (GDT), USA.
Software’s used: Arc view GIS
My Role: Team Leader
Description: This project process begins with editing the line segments and re-aligning the vector file sent from the client. Also the Geo-referenced satellite image will be given by the client, on which we require to position the given vector map and rectify the error and it is updated in the database also according to the client specifications. There are 10 levels of Q.C set in the client server while uploading the output. Until and unless it pass through the entire Q.C levels output doesn’t get uploaded.
Responsibilities: Preparation of Job cards and estimating the work based on the clients requirement and partially handling Q.C activities and assuring to meet the client satisfaction.
(iii) Project: Real Estate Trading Information System (RETIS)
Client: Bin Saedan, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Software’s used: AutoCad Map 2000
My Role: Team Leader
Description: The overall objective of the project is the development of a technology enabled Real Estate Trading Information System (RETIS) for the city of Riyadh.
Development of a customized software application (REP 2001) providing information on property type, size, price, plan, pictures in the form of multimedia files. Geographic Information System (GIS), contains the geographical data of Riyadh city, the administrative divisions (such as districts, blocks, divisions, etc.), and parcel information along with major land marks and other spatial features which influence the real estate market. Satellite images of the city are procured, processed, rectified and geo-referenced
Using advanced image-processing technology.
Responsibilities: Conversion group work involves converting the city map into digital format and edge matching the entire city map.
Preparation of Job cards and completely handling the Q.C activities and assuring to meet the requirements for development team.
(iv) Project: Courier Dispatch and monitoring system
Client: P.T. Arrowm@x Services, Jakarta, Indonesia.
Software’s used: AutoCad Map 2000
My Role: Team Leader
Description: Arrow Max has reckoned on the pioneering effort of setting up a technology intensive intra-city courier services in Jakarta, capital city of Indonesia. The main purpose of the project is to pick-up and delivery of goods from the requested points by the client. The central dispatcher will be a GIS enabled center equipped with all the necessary tools to derive the optimum route, generate routing directions for journey and tracking the courier on field. Also the central dispatcher will be equipped with all the necessary communication devices such as RF modems, transceivers, antenna etc.,
Responsibilities: Conversion group work involves converting the city map of Jakarta into digital format and edge matching the entire city map.

(v) Project: City Administration Management System - CAMS

My Role: Team Leader
Description: Developing application software to simplify the administrative operations in the city. This project is involved collecting entire existing data available from KPTCL, BWSSB and DOT and also including physical survey. Converting them into digital format and attaching relevant attributes.
Responsibilities: Coordinating with government officials to collect the information. Handling all sort of activities in survey part. Monitoring the data conversion.
Preparing Job cards and completely handling the Q.C activities and assuring to meet the requirements for development team.
(vi) Project: Municipal GIS [BANG-GIS]
Client: Bangalore Agenda Task Force (BATF), Karnataka, India
Software’s used: AutoCad Map 2000
My Role: Project coordinator
Description: The main scope of the project is Enhancing Revenue on tax collection. This project involves capturing data from field survey and from the municipal office for existing data and later it will be converted into required format including the database.
Responsibilities: Managing the complete activities in Field Survey and Data Conversion. And setting up the quality standards. Estimating the Manpower requirement.
(vii) Project: Computerized Constituency Management System - CCOMS
Client: DDE-ORG, Karnataka, India
Software’s used: AutoCad Map and Map Info
My Role: Project Leader
Description: The objective of this project was to computerize the day-to-day activities in the constituency for the Member of Legislative Assembly of Karnataka. It involved generating the digital District, Taluk boundaries using the SOI Maps and geo-positioning to the WCS (World Coordinate System) and superimposing Revenue maps over the master map created from SOI. And digitize all the features like Village boundaries, roads, water bodies and railway roads etc., and later it will be converted into MapInfo format for attaching relevant data to the required features.
Responsibilities: Managing the complete activities in Data Conversion. Preparing scheduler and job cards.
Estimating the work and setting up the quality standards according to the client requirement.
(viii) Project: Optic Fiber Cable Networking – Broad-band
Client: Nirmala Constructions, Bangalore, India.
Software’s used: AutoCad Map 2000
My Role: Team Leader.
Description: This project is executed for VSNL, which has laid OFC network under sea and connecting the cities of India and abroad. OFC-Networking from Cochin-sea shore to the VSNL building located in Cochin City (42 Kms). Project includes real ground survey and map creation.
Responsibilities: Completely handled by one person. Physical survey includes road network and landmarks. Converting of digital drawing and Quality Assurance up to Client Satisfaction
(ix) Project: Electronic Cataloging
Client: HOPE Technologies Limited, Bangalore, India.
Software’s used: MS-Excel and MS-Access
My Role: Team Leader.
Description: This project basically involves in converting paper catalogs into Electronic format. Paper catalogs such as Industrial, Engineering, Home appliance are the type of catalogs to name a few. These catalogs are analyzed in such way to capture entire information as per require organized format.
Responsibilities: Preparation of schedulers, time sheets and Q.C templates. Estimating the work and manpower according to the client requirement. Handling the complete activities in production and Q.C.
(x) Project: Facilities Management
Client: CFI, AT&T, USA
Software’s used: AutoCad R-14, Cad Overlay R-14.
My Role: Cad Engineer.
Description: This project involves Preparation of architecture, telephony (Cable racks, Lighting, Grounding, DMAC & Fiber Plan etc) and developing of (Telephony equipment, batteries, generators etc) drawings for managing facilities in buildings.
Responsibilities: Converting the data and Q.C according to the Instructions given by the Project Leader.
(xi) Project: Domestic Gas Piping Application
Client: Northern Indiana Public Service Company – NIPSCO, USA.
Software’s used: AutoCad Map 2.0
My Role: Cad Engineer
Description: Develop an Information system for the Natural/Domestic GAS Piping Network for the State of Indiana. Generation of Geographically referenced grids with the use of latitudes-longitudes from the hardcopy. Identifying the data that has to be converted to the digital format & deriving methodologies, specifications etc., for conversion. Digitizing of the graphical data as per the predetermined standard. Generating the database and Integration of Attribute data to the Graphical data.
Responsibilities: Digitizing the pipelines and attaching the relevant attributes to the graphical data. Creating queries. And on screen Quality Check.
(xii) Project: Drawing Conversion
Client: TCE, BWSSB, ABB, HOPE, BPL, ZINDAL, NICE, Subash Group and etc.,
Software’s used: AutoCad R-14 and 2000, Cad Overlay R-14.
My Role: Cad Engineer.
Description: Converting all type of paper drawings into Digital format.
Ex. Mechanical, Architectural, Civil and Electrical.
Responsibilities: Drafting, Digitization and Q.C according to the Instructions given by the client.
