I am currently working in the University of California San Francisco serving as the director of the neuropathology laboratory of Dr. Stephen DeArmond who works in collaboration with the Nobel Prize winner, Dr. Stanley Prusiner investigating prions and other related studies.
I am highly organize and committed to professionalism. I have 8 years of experience working with prion and other related studies. I have successfully operated a histopathology laboratory. I also serve as a liaison between the Biohazard and Chemical Safety Officer and the Princeipal Investigator.
I administer all precautionary actions to be taken during every prion experiment. I oversee that all laboratory equipments and instruments are in good working condition. I aslo supervise and train new technicians and medical students on histological procedures. I demonstrate and teach laboratory techniques to visiting post-doctors, students and faculty members.
I act as a consultant to other technicians trouble-shooting techniques and procedures focus on immunohistochemistry and histology.
I manage all routine clinical and research immuno-histochemical and histological procedures such as processing, embedding, and sectioning.
I perform all histological stains including hematoxylin and eosin, Gomori's trichrome. I handle all neurological special stains including PAS, Luxol-fast blue, Congo-red, Bielschowsky.
I perform broad spectrum of immunological antibodies both monoclonal and polyclonal for both research and clinical.
I determine and perform serial titration to provide the best working dilution for most antibodies.
I perform all routine research and clinical muscle special stains including special enzyme stains such NADH, SDH and ATP.
I have college diploma in BS Biology, De La salle University , 1989
I am a contributing authors for several publications.
