Operating room nurse.Work experience:Aug.1996-present
a) Coordinate duties of workers between cases to ensure a safe, clean environment
and to prevent operational delays.
b) Ensures completeness and working efficiency of operative set-up.
c) Makes sure that special set-up and needs for emergency cases are available and ready for use.
d) Promote physical comfort and safety in lifting patient, positioning, restraining and transporting patient.
e) Keep head nurse informed of patient’s condition.
f) Makes complete count of all instruments, needles and sponges used before and after each surgical procedure.
g) Applies and execute the physicians order in positioning patients,while bearing in mind to apply the requirement of a good position in cleaning operative site.Applies the principles of draping.
h) Assists surgeon and the surgical team especially with regards to the handling of instruments throughout the duration of the procedure.
i) Observe breaks in medical and surgical aseptic techniques, rules and regulations of the operating room department and report to the head nurse.
j) Respects the dignity and privacy of the patients.
k) Reports and record data required for hospital,patient and nursing service records.
l) Participates in operating room nursing meeting and committees.
m) Review correct literatures regarding advances in medicine and nursing.
