Accomplishments:
· Successfully demonstrated the retrieval of biometric reports via the internet at
a recent computer show (Cards Africa on 08 November 2000) – a project assigned to me to develop from the ground up.
· I am part of a research and development team working on a R 11 miljon contract for Malawi. Using ASP, made fast retrieval of the biometric reports possible via the internet – a project for which I was financially rewarded. Fast retrieval saves the customer time and therefore money.
· Enhanced and maintained current application software.
· Developed new data capture and retrieval software for a document imaging Company.
· Prepared successful project demonstrations.
· Wrote a statistical application that retrieves data from a SQL-database that updates the data dynamically on request. Excel’s pivot table feature and charts were used to rearrange and to display the data. Reports are printed using data report designer of Visual Basic 6.
· Created an issues tracker Active X control (thin client server) running in a browser, communicating with a server using DCOM. It retrieves data on request from a SQL server database.
· Wrote a registry editing application that is capable of editing all computers registries on the network remotely.
· Enhanced data capturing software to read and write needed settings to and from the windows registry replacing the need for ini-files.
· Wrote preprocessors for Catterpillar and Nedbank Tax Certificates (COLD).
· Used OmniPage Pro to do OCR for Polifin.
· Used ASP, HTML, VBScript, FrontPage and Visual InterDev in a project for Medscheme.
