Lead a technical team that will set-up, administer, operate and trouble-shoot Internet Services related servers - DNS, Web Server, Mail, Firewall, etc..
Configure Internet protocols (IP), Gateway, and DNS Entry of a computer. Capable of adding Adapters and Protocols such as TCP/IP, IPX, Proxy and others
Install various Internet applications. Web browsers like Netscape Navigator Gold/ Communicator, Internet Explorer. Internet Mails, Outlook, Eudora Light Version 3.x
and Eudora Pro for Electronic mails. Internet Relay Chat (IRC) applications such as Telnet, Mirc, and ICQ. File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and Telnet files
Must be fully knowledgeable on Unix, MS-DOS, Win95, Win98, win2000, NT 4.0,Linux (RedHat and Slackware) and TCP/IP, IPX, Proxy Server, Mail Server, LAN, WAN and SQL
Must be knowlegeable of the following:
- Designing and implementating business continuity and disaster recovery plan for the Internet Operations Center.
- Set-up the processes for daily backups/restore and system operations.
- Generating daily system statistics for upper management.
- Monitoring system response time and insure acceptable response times.
- Identifying and resolving system bottlenecks and avoid system down time.
- Configuring network parameters and routing tables for the routers and servers to facilitate linkages in the Wide Area Network.
Must be a BS Computer Engineer or ECE graduate from a reputable school.
