Primary Duties
Provides ptechnical product assistance; custom presentations and demonstrations; installation support; training; pre-sales technical account management. Pre-sales experience in the area of ERP, SFA or CRM applications, middleware or web-based programs. Work with current and prospective customers to map their business requirements to product features and functions.
Assist in pre-sales activity by providing the technical recommendations and configuration scenarios to prospective customers.
Review and keep current on new product features and competitor offerings. Install company products at customer sites and provide feedback to customer and internal company staff.
Provide technical feedback to company and Marketing staff for future product enhancements. Function as the technical liaison between the customer technical support team.
Skills and Knowledge
Strong interpersonal skills and customer orientation.
Effective presentation and communication ability
Experience in a pre-sales support role is ideal, with Knowledge Management, Document Management or Workflow Systems a definite asset.
Experience installing and maintaining Oracle or MS SQL Server, IIS or Netscape web servers mandatory.
Work Environment General office or work-from-home environment. Work outside of normal business hours and travel to customer sites will be necessary from time to time.
