Job Description
Responsible for delivery of wed design from a creative and/or user interface
perspective i.e. structure, navigation, layout, graphics, audio, text
Creative concepts, execute designs, and maintain design concepts through all
phases of a project
Direct design from a business and strategic perspective to create effective
web presentations and interaction.
Translate qualitative/quantitative data from research into design
requirements
Provide creative assistance and support to project teams throughout the
various states of the design and development process.
HTML authoring, JavaScript, optimizing and animating web graphics, scanning
digitizing video and audio.
Developing designs for new sites including coding and web layout according
to design and functional specifications.
Testing developed prototypes on various browsers, platforms, and monitor
configurations
Developing user interface frameworks, Preparing and optimizing graphical
assets, Stay current with research on web use and design.
Qualifications:
A degree in Design or related filed and/or formal training in typography,
identity design, interactive design, information design, computer science,
or other relative disciplines, or equivalent experience.
Candidates must have 3 or more years of experience in creating web pages
using HTML, Java Script, Flash, Dreamweaver, as well as latest graphic
software.
Strong understanding of the constraints involved in designing for online
environments
Strong skills in using web designs tools such as PhotoShop, Quark and Front
Page, and advanced media tools such as Shock Wave and Flash.
Experience working with technical, design and editorial teams,
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
