My husband and I are looking for a nanny/housekeeper to live in our house. I am 29 years old and my husband is 30. I am expecting our first child (little girl) September 30. We live in an exclusive neighborhood in Houston, Texas. We have 5 bedrooms plus quarters which will be furnished with a bed, cable television and local phone service. We are extremely nice people and are really looking for someone long term to be a part of our new family. Salary is listed below and extremely competitive.
QUALITIES of APPLICANT
In most instances, the applicant will work 7 am to 6 p.m., 5 days per week (Mon. through Fri) and 9 am to 12:00pm on Saturday and Sundays off. The applicant must have previous experience caring for an active toddler. Applicant will be responsible for cleaning the house and for looking after a toddler. We currently have another housekeeper who works 3 days a week.
- We would like our applicant to enjoy the home and family life as our family spends most of our free time at home.
- She should like children of various ages and particularly have prior experience caring for toddlers; she should be aware of the commitment which she is making and the amount of work involved.
- She should take into consideration that our children are at an impressionable age and she should try to be as much of a role model as possible for them.
- We require that our applicant be a non-smoker, non-drug user and refrain from drinking alcoholic beverages during weekdays only because we would like her to be at her best when she is caring for the baby during the day.
- We are a family that eats dinner together each evening between 7and 8PM.
OUR HOUSE AND OUR NEIGHBORHOOD:
Our house is located in Houston, Texas. Our house is a five bedroom french mediteranian home with lovely backyard with pool overlooking a prominent country club golf course and enough room for our family and the applicant to live and grow. The applicant will have her own room with a view of the front yard. The applicant will be provided with a double bed, closet, separate bathroom, dresser and a television with cable TV.
Houston provides for excellent dining, good shopping, movie theatres and several Universities. There is a large Philippino community in Houston.
SALARY
We would like legal J-1 visa and are paid a weekly salary of $250, plus free room and board.
