The scope of this service authorization calls for providing graphics services to support developers in deploying Intranet Web sites and/or applications.
Requirements/Deliverables
Graphics is an essential part of any Web site and/or applications. We need to provide this service for all divisions and potentially other organizations within the company embarking on Intranet related projects.
Qualifications
Web Designers preferably with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related Discipline. This position requires a minimum of eight years experience in information technology, of which at least three years must be specialized. Specialized experience includes experience in the design of graphics and human interface for online services. Demonstrated ability to work independently or under only general direction.
Excellent working knowledge of the capabilities and constraints of the World Wide Web (particularly with respect to browser capabilities and differences), and the tradeoffs between image quality and file size Vs download times. Media professional with proficiency in a variety of multimedia software (emphasis on the Internet) and image processing knowledge. Intellectual capabilities to determine client needs, negotiate deadlines and communicate under pressure with people from diverse backgrounds.
A minimum of two years experience in the subject matter requested by the Service Authorization, which might include but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, Shockwave, 3D animation tools, MS Internet Explorer, Netscape Communicator, HTML, FrontPage 98 and NetObjects Fusion. Competency in Intranet/Internet graphics formats (JPEG, GIF). Skilled in the use of digital cameras and scanners.
