A manufacturing engineer is responsible for creating, documenting, developing, and implementing procedures used to assemble, process, test and/or the manufacture of the company's products. He/she is also tasked to organize, supervise and lead in implementing continuous quality and productivity improvement.
Major Responsibilities
1. Improving overall processes and related issues including process development, scheduling, creating process documentation, product assembly and production processing, problem solving, and program management.
2. Other duties include the design, installation, and debug of tooling and capital equipment.
3. Also responsible for following quality systems procedures, as required.
4. Provide leadership in defining the direction in implementing continuous quality and productivity improvement.
5. Supervise and set directions for the Manufacturing Engineers in providing counter measures on problems affecting the manufacturing system, process and equipment.
6. Provide training whenever necessary.
7. Correspond with the customer regarding issues and concerns related to the products in production mode.
8. Work on procurement of new tools and equipment needed for process and quality improvement.
9. Work with customer representative/s during their visit.
10. Maintain acceptable product yield and out going QA acceptance rate.
11. Prepare and submit all required reports.
Minimum Requirement
1. Must have a four year engineering degree or equivalent,
2. Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in Process and/or Manufacturing Engineering.
3. With exposure on program management.
Basic Skills and Knowledge
1. Systematic and analytical.
2. Good communication skills
3. Computer literate
4. Knowledge in statistical tools and problem solving techniques.
