Stewards and Stewardesses

4-year or more contract
7-day work week
10+ hours per day
72 hours per week
$350-$400/month

Duties:

Dining-room service: setting, serving and cleaning up for three meals a day
Stateroom service: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming and dusting.
Cleaning public areas of ship.
Linen operations: washing, drying and pressing, using industrial machines.
Galley operations: washing dishes, scrubbing pots and pans, and cleaning the galley.
Lounge service: serving cocktails, stocking and cleaning the lounge.
Loading and storing all ship supplies.
Various additional duties involving passenger service.

Deckhands

4-year or more contract
6-day work week
12+ hours per day
72 hours per week
$400/month

Duties are as follows:

Participating in all docking and anchoring maneuvers: handling lines, landing craft and gangways.
Standing watches: gangway, systems and deck watch. These watches include many cleaning, security, maintenance
and passenger-assistance duties.
Loading and storing of all supplies.
Galley operations: washing dishes, scrubbing pots & pans, and cleaning the galley.
Removing all trash.
Loading and unloading all passenger luggage.
Various additional duties involving passenger service.
