LABORATORY
ANALYTICAL CHEMIST I (Need 10 Persons)
BS. Degree Chemistry/minimum 2 years experience working in an Organic Chemistry Analytical Laboratory.
ANALYTICAL CHEMIST II (Need 1 Person)
BS. Degree Chemistry/Environmental Chemistry, or Chemical Oceanography.
5 years experience working in an Organic Chemistry Analytical Laboratory.
ANALYTICAL CHEMIST II Sample Preparation Lab Supervisor (Need 1 Person)
BS. Degree Chemistry/Environmental Chemistry, or Chemical Oceanography.
5 years experience working in an Organic Chemistry Analytical Laboratory.
ANALYTICAL CHEMIST II (Need 1 Person) FLOATER
BS. Degree Chemistry/Environmental Chemistry, or Chemical Oceanography.
5 years experience working in an Organic Chemistry Analytical Laboratory.
All above must have the knowledge to:
Preparation and extraction of sediment, water and tissue samples for total petroleum hydrocarbon, Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, % moisture, and % lipid analysis in sediment, water, and tissue samples.
Operation of Accelerated Solvent Extraction (ASE) systems.
Concentration of extracted samples, using Kuderna Danish and nitrogen evaporation methods.
Preparation of analytical standard mixtures for TPH and PAH analysis.
Evaporate and measure oil residues using a Cahn Microbalance.
Understanding of Gas Chromatography with flame ionization detection (GC/FID) systems.
Prepare data reports using Microsoft Excel software or Laboratory Information management Software.
Communicate status of laboratory tasks to appropriate senior staff.
Oversee work of less senior chemists and technicians
Properly document all work.
Observe and implement all laboratory safety procedures.
Data Manager (Need 1 Person)
BS degree in Computer Science, or BS Degree in chemistry with extensive computer science experience.
5 Years experience with data management systems in analytical
Must have the knowledge:
To maintain the laboratory information management system (LIMS).
To produce the client data reports using the LIMS
Troubleshoot LIMS system as required (e.g., server and computer maintenance)
Responsible for data archiving
Production of QA reports on a weekly basis.
Provide general computer support
Communicate status of laboratory tasks to appropriate senior staff.
Properly document all work .Observe and implement all laboratory safety procedures.
Quality Assurance Manager (Need 1 Person)
BS Degree Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, or related Quality Assurance Management field.
5 Years of experience working as a Quality Assurance Manager in an organic chemistry analytical laboratory.
Must have the knowledge to:
Oversee development and implementation of laboratory Quality Assurance Manual and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Responsible for the audit of all data packages.
Perform laboratory audits 1/week and produce report to laboratory manager.
Participate in design of Laboratory Information Management System quality monitoring program.
Prepare data reports using Microsoft Excel software or Laboratory Information management Software.
Communicate QA issues immediately to appropriate senior staff.
Participate in staff QA/QC training program
Properly document all work.
Observe and implement all laboratory safety procedures.
Chemistry Technician I (Sample Receiving Need 1 Person)
2 Years of specialized training in chemistry or other physical science.
Associates degree in a chemistry related field is desired
Chemistry Technician II (Sample Receiving, Need 2 Persons)
2 Years of specialized training in chemistry or other physical science.
Associates degree in a chemistry related field is desired
Must have the knowledge to:
Receive, evaluate, and log in samples from a multiple field studies.
Aliquot and ship samples under chain-of-custody to subcontractor laboratories.
Ship coolers and sampling equipment as required.
Store and maintain samples in refrigerator/freezers.
Input login information into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Prepare a daily sample log report.
Prepare a daily sample holding time report.
Communicate status of laboratory tasks to appropriate senior staff.
Properly document all work.
Observe and implement all laboratory safety procedures.
Technician I Glassware Processing (Need 2 Persons)
2 years experience working in an organic laboratory cleaning glassware.
Must have an appreciation for clean techniques and the impact of dirty glassware on laboratory operation.
Must have the knowledge to:
To clean laboratory glassware by detergent and solvent washing.
Maintain sufficient inventory of glassware and supplies in laboratory.
Assist with sample allocating and shipment of samples to subcontractors.
Communicate status of laboratory tasks to appropriate senior staff.
Properly document all work.
Observe and implement all laboratory safety procedures.
ENVIRONMENT
