JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Transportation Manager, supervises the Transportation personnel and operations.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
1. Responsible in the overall planning, leading, organizing and controlling of the following Transportation operations:
1.1 Delivery operations and fleet monitoring
1.2 Pick-up from suppliers
1.3 Maintenance and repair of transport equipment
1.4 Delivery vehicle sanitation
1.5 Third party hauling business
1.6 Route inspection
1.7 Trains and orients Transportation personnel
2. Monitors outside contractor schedule and best service; negotiate reasonable terms.
3. Arranges delivery schedules; supervises daily dispatch on time and confirm manpower allocation when necessary.
3.1 Come up with effective and most economical routing scheme
3.2 Conducts regular daily/night route inspection
4. Prepares maintenance and repair planning in coordination with Transportation Maintenance Coordinator.
5. Prepares manpower planning and scheduling.
6. Formulates Transportation policies and procedures and implement said procedures effectively.
7. Manages/monitors Transportation department expenses against budget.
8. Assist Customer Service Department on stores liaison-store complaints; store visits.
9. Responsible for operational reports and statistics and maintaining of records related to Transportation operations.
10. Schedules and conducts regular Transportation staff meetings.
11. Conducts regular audit on Transportation equipment.
12. Perform other task that may be assigned by superior from time to time.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education: graduate of any engineering degree but preferably Industrial/Mechanical Engineering
Experience: At least 5 years experience in Distribution/Warehouse Operations
Age: Between 25 - 35 years old
