Job Description:
Transmission Support Engineer

 Transmission systems specialist. Responsible for the backbone transmission network deployment, including the management systems applications (NMS). Systems acceptance - commissioning tests and second line maintenance - troubleshooting is part of the job. Worked mainly on fiber and M/W radio networks with Siemens high capacity PDH and SDH radios, GPT multiplexing systems (SMA etc), GPT’s EM-OS NMS.
 Responsible for the maintenance of Ericsson BTS (RBS 2000), troubleshooting, commissioning test & acceptance.
 Responsible for installation & maintenance of DXX nodes (Cluster, Basic, Mini, Micro & MXU)

a) Excellent knowledge of the SDH and PDH multiplexing technology
b) System expert on the SMA systems of GPT and the M/W high capacity radios of Siemens (SRT-1, SRT-1S, SRA, CRT216, CTR264 etc).
c) Excellent knowledge of the EM-OS network management system for the GPT and Siemens SDH equipment.
d) Excellent knowledge of the low capacity radio links of Ericsson (Mini link C & E series), Intracom Products ( IDR-100)
