Working in M/s Simpson & Co.Ltd as Asst.Engineer (Project Engineering Department) for the past 5.5 years.

At present working with Production Engineering Department at SJ series Machining line at Sembiam Plant and coordinating as a TEAM in proving out the Machines Installed for NEW EURO SJ Engine and Establishing Tool life for the cutting tools used for the machining of Cylinder Block & Cylinder Head at Simpsons, Sembiam Plant.

Job Profile at Simpson:

 Budgeting for the financial year.
 Detailed Technical data collection from customer for each financial year as per the requirement from user department.
 Receiving competitive quotation from various supplier based on user department requirement.
 Supplier Technical assistance.
 working with reference to procurement of Equipment / Machinery / Tooling for the machines.
 Sending trial components to supplier in accordance with Excise modalities.
 Trial run at supplier end and approval of results in accordance with Quality control department and R& D.
 Issue of the purchase order to the supplier with all technical information and technical assistance.
 Follow-up with the supplier for “ON TIME DELIVERY” of the Machineries / Equipment’s/Tools/Accessories.
 Responsibility till Installation, Commissioning and prove out of the Equipment / Machinery/Tools and handing over to Production Engineering Department.
 Plant layout preparation based on new requirement or modification.
 Co-ordinate with R&D for New Product Development.
 Member of Cross functional Team (CFT) for QS 9000.
 CFT activities:
1. Analyse the Engine requirements from new Customers.
2. Power ratings and modifications will be finalised with R & D & Marketing.
3. Change in Machining activities.
4. APQP & PPAP preparation for certification/approval by New Engine customer for the new requirement.
Recently PPAP & APQP prepared for Escorts, New Holland Tractors, TAFE, TATA CUMMINS.
