ANSYS PROJECTS
Project 1: Static and transient thermal and structural analysis of turbine
component.
Project description: Developing FE structural and thermal models for the
component using suitable elements. Obtaining the
thermal distribution using static thermal analysis
and also the structural response of the component
subjected to thermal load.
Project 2: Thermal and structural analysis of Bolted joint assembly.
Project description: The compressor stage and distance piece of the
compressor are bolted together. Exposed to uses of
axisymmetric model of rotating components and
generation of COMBIN40 and CONTAC48 elements.
Project 3: Analysis of 3D tie bolt.
Project description: Modeling 3D tie-bolt using 2D model and generation
of 3D CONTAC52 elements.
Project 4: Sub modeling of cantilever mounted I – Beam and L-plate.
Project description: Exposed to cut boundary interpolation technique for
solid – solid submodeling and shell – solid submodeling.
Project 5: Mesh refinement in Tie bolt.
Project description: The model consist of tie bolt, nut and sleeve. The mesh
refinement is carried out so as to obtain the optimum
result for a particular refined size. Also exposed to
CONTAC 12 elements.
Project 6: Modal analysis for circular plate.
Project description: Modal analysis is carried out to extract the natural
frequencies and mode shape for the circular plate.
Project 7: Non- linear analysis of a circular plate
Project description: Exposed to non-linear techniques
Project 8 : Stiffness analysis of pedestal
Problem Description: Analysis is carried out to find the Stiffness of the
pedestal. The pedestal is subjected to shaft load.
The stiffness of the pedestal helps in determining
the exact amount of load that can be applied on the
pedestal.

MINI PROJECT : "SOFTWARE PACKAGE FOR DESIGN OF CLUTCH PLATES
USING ‘C’ LANGUAGE"
MAJOR PROJECT : "SELF-GUIDED VEHICLE"
THIS PROJECT ENTITLED "SELF GUIDED" DEALS TO PROVIDE THE CONCEPT OF AN "INTELLIGENT VEHICLE" WHICH HAS ONBOARD INTELLIGENCE AND OPERATES WITH MINIMAL INTERACTION. THISVEHICLE IS A THREE-WHEELER WITH FRONT STEERABLE WHEEL AND REAR DRVING WHEELS. IT IS INTERFACED WITH A COMPUTER. THE CONTROL PROGRAM IS WRITTEN IN ‘C’-LANGUAGE. THE USER HAS TO ENTER THE DESTINATION CO-ORDINATES INTO THE COMPUTER AND THE SOFTWARE DOES THE NECESSARY CALCULATIONS & SENDS SIGNALS TO THE VEHICLE. UPON RECEIVING THE SIGNALS FROM THE COMPUTER THE VEHICLE NAVIGATES THE SUITABLE PATH TO REACH THE DESTINATION.
