Research Experience
As part of my post Graduation in Applied Microbiology I have conducted Research Work dissertation entitled “Effectiveness of Commercial water Purifiers on Water borne pathogenic bacteria”. At T.I.M.L.T. Arcot & CMC Hospitals Vellore.

Summary

Commercially available water purifiers such as Aqua-guard, Aqua-pen, Zero B, Household candle filters was selected to test efficiency using the standard water borne Pathogenic Bacteria such as E.coli, S.typi, V.cholerae and S.dysentriae. The water filters tested with pre-treated water and the results are interpreted with reference to the standard microtrial count and characterization on bacteria implemented.

Findings
The water purifiers Aqua - guard, Aqua - Pen were found to Purify the water effectively with reference to nil bacterial count, were as Zero B and Candle Type Filter failed to Purify the water comparatively, and has less Microbial count.
