Dear Sir/Madam,

I feel happy to apply for the above mentioned post in your esteemed organisation.
Presently I am working in the broadband seismology, earthquake data analysis, earthquake source estimation , spectral analysis of broad band and short period data ,microseismic background noise modelling of Kolar gold Mining area, . I am also engaged in microseismic project for the prediction of roof fall inside the longwall coal mine, SECL, India using Integrated Seismic System (ISS) operated in linux platform.
I have also eight years research and industrial field work experience in the field of Seismic Reflection and Seismic Refraction data acquisition analysis and interpretation, Seismological (micro-seismic and macro-seismic) data analysis and interpretation including Gravity, Magnetic and Resistivity methods.
I have worked as a GEOPHYSICIST in American based Indian Oil and Gas exploration company M/S Amtek Geophysical Private Limited, Head Office Hyderabad, (earlier collaboration with Alpha-Tech International Incorp, Texas) under getting contract from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Jorhat at Assam, India for two dimensional seismic data acquisition using DFS-V systems at the Rangte anticline, Silchar Basin in the hilly terrain of Assam. I have also good experience in handling and operation of various geophysical instruments and have basic knowledge of electronic for the necessity of the field instrument. I have experienced on Unix workstation and presently working on linux platform using seismic data processing by Integrated Seismic System (ISS) software included 3-D seismic visualization and interpretation. I have also fluency in writing and speaking English. I have worked in a multidisciplinary team including supervision of various teams like seismic, Drilling, Blasting, Surveying, labour Management, POL management, office management and administration control.
As you will see from my CV, I have passed M.Sc.Tech. (Exploration Geophysics) from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in 1993 and M.Tech. (Mining Geophysics) from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad in 1995 with first class respectively. I have also submitted my Ph.D. Thesis in Geophysics to Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in 25th July, 2002. I was also qualified CSIR-SRF (1999), GATE (1993, 1994), BHU-RET (1997) and Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management ( PGDMM-1997) in Marketing Managememt.
I have a good hand on computer operation including operating system (LINUX, UNIX, DOS and WINDOWS) and the programming on C/C++, PASCAL and FORTRAN. I have worked also in the various softwares like MATLAB, MATHMATICA, MATHSOFT, REDHAT LINUX, SNAPMASTER, DADISP, SEISSAN-7, PROMAC, XMTS, XDI, PCSUDE, PITSA, SAKI, MAG2DBASE, TABLE2D, GRAPHWIN various other popular data processing software.
Presently, I have been working as Senior Research Associate since November 1999 at the Engineering Geophysics division and Seismology division, National Institute of Rock Mechanics (An autonomous Institute under Ministry of Mines and Coal, Govt. of India) under world bank assisted project entitled "Monitoring of Broad Band Station (CMG-40T) and analysis of seismological data obtaining various seismological parameters".at the Central Seismic Station (i.e. Kolar Gold Field Observatory) and carrying out my research work including analysis of broad band seismological data as well as K2 data. I am also looking the macroseismic and microseismic data acquisition, processing and interpretation. I am also engaged in the coal S & T project, Govt. of India on entitled "Monitoring of strata behavior during Longwall mining using microseismic monitoring technique and estimation of caving height” since past one year using instrument Integrated Seismic System (ISS), South Africa, in the Linux Environment first time in India carrying out at Rajendra Mines, South Eastern Coal Fields Limited, Sohagpur Area, Burhar, M.P. (India). I am also engaged in another S & T project ( Govt. of India) entitled “Estimation of seismic source parameters of the Kolar Gold Mining Area”
