Client Kothari Jewelers, Jaipur.

Environment:
The application is hosted in Visual Basic having the database in SQL SERVER 2000. A 2-tier application that extensively uses the COM component. List View object was used for handling the database operations while the reports were generated in Segate Crystal Report 8.5.

Description:
The software is developed for M/s Kothari Jewelers, the leading jewelry exporter of India, who use it extensively in maintaining a database for their Manufacturing Deptt, Payrolls and Store Inventory. The salient features of the software are:
• Complete database of raw material used viz. weight, type, Karatage etc.
• Multi-user environment for various deptt. related to manufacturing of Jewellery.
• Complete database support for wages of workers and employees.
• In depth knowledge of stock, finished goods and store inventory.
USP
• Connectivity of database of manufacturing unit through telephone lines with Showroom.
Responsibility:
Solely responsible from developing the software upto database designing, system coding, and reports generation.

Environment:
The application was hosted on Visual Basic having the database In ORACLE. It was a 3-tier application that extensively used the COM component. MS- FLEX grid object was used for handling the database operations. For reports Segate Crystal Report was used.

Description:
The software was for the distribution system of PEPSI Products Ltd. It automated all the work done by distribution department of PEPSI Products Ltd. e.g. what number of crates have been taken out by the sales man and how many in turn have been brought back by him. The system provided enough security and also responds to the posted queries.

Responsibility:
The entire project was developed in my supervision. I was the team leader in this project and provided the essential framework to all the team members.


 Project Management System (PMS)

Duration 2 Months.
Database MS- SQL Server.

Environment:
3-tier application (COM).

Description:
PMS is an in-house project, developed to keep a track of clients, planning, and monitoring different projects going on in the company. On this basis we were able to get the skills update. It consists of mainly following module
1) Client
2) Project Planning
3) Project Monitoring
In client module we captured the details of the Clients, which mainly consisted of RFP (request for proposal). If the request was rejected then the process stopped or else the projects was assigned to GM and he sent the required proposal for contract. In project planning module we first started with the Software Requisition and HR requisition thereafter defining the task and subtask and allocating it to different Team Members. In project monitoring we had the option for making the time sheet and forward that to Project Manager and received query from him. It also consisted of the payment track, invoice and reminder.

Responsibility:
The entire project was again developed in my supervision.


 Sales and Marketing System

Environment:
An application hosted on Visual Basic having database in MS–ACCESS and also used third party control of far Point Technologies called Far Point control for Spread application. For Reports Segate Crystal Reports version 7.0 was used.

Description:
This Software was developed for the Sales and Marketing departments. It was a complete solution for their marketing and sales requirement. For providing reports and facilitating all the offices located around the country via Outlook Express so that they could report to the head office for further decision. It had various forms and various reports, which could be further categorized as head office or sub locations.

Responsibilities:
From conception involved in setting the entire framework then went on to coding and Implementation of the system and developing the reports using Crystal reports tool.


 Saving Account System

Environment:
An application hosted in Visual Basic having the database in MS- Access. Segate Crystal Reports 7.0 was used for reporting purpose.

Description:
This software was based on the banking subsystem i.e. saving accounting, which kept track on all the saving bank accounts of a particular bank. This software provided enough security to deny unauthorized access of the system.

From conception involved in setting the entire framework them went on to coding and implementation of the system and developing the reports using Crystal reports tool.
