1. Project Title:WinTrace 2002
Organization: Technical High School
Team size: 02
Environment: VB 6.0 & MS Access
Description: Details of all participants from different schools are accepted and stored, which made retrieval of any piece of information much easier. The software generates many results based on the marks allotted by the judges. The software too decides the winner on getting the marks from the three judges. YouthFest declares all results like Itemwise, School Championship and finally Kalathilakam and Kalapratibha. Many validations too are also involved in this.

2. Project Title: Payroll System
Organization: NIIT
Team size: 02
Environment: MS Access
Details: Payroll System maintains employee records such as his monthly salary payments and his leave status. Based on different grades, it provides detailed information of the employees’ salaries after calculating the CA, DA, and HRA etc. It also generates pay slips and a department Wise salary report.

3. Project Title: Video Library System
Organization: NIIT
Team size: 02
Environment: C++, Sybase
Description: This project is developed to computerize the proceedings in a Video Library. It records the customers and the disc rented. It also holds the movie details. Every transaction recorded has an invoice number, which is generated automatically. If the disc is not returned by the scheduled date a fine is levied and total charged is displayed. It also gives monthly rental transaction report.

4. Project Title: Online Banking System
Organization: NIIT

Environment: VB, VC++, MS SQL Server
Description: Online Banking helps the bank employees’ to add new clients, view their details and record all the transactions carried by them. It provides interest based on the type of account, record information when the checkbook is issued and also helps to stop the payment on the lost checks. Together with this, the client can log on to the site and can view his balance, stop the payment of lost checks and can also carry out the transaction with minimal effort. Many reports like Daily transaction report, Periodic report, Monthly Report are also printed.

5. Project Title: Airline Reservation System
Organization: NIIT
Team size: 02
Environment: VC++, SQL
Description: This project computerizes reservation, cancellation, and ticketing and refund system. During reservation date, class of travel, sector, number of seats required be accepted and the reservation file is queried which informs the seat availability status. On receipt of acceptance, reservation file is updated with the balance number of seats. Reservation slip is printed with the PNR number, passenger name, and reservation status and fare amount. During cancellation refund amount is computed and reservation file is updated with the balance number of seats. In case, if the seat is not available then waiting list is offered. It also prints a ticket and a refund receipt after marking in the manifest file to show the cancellation has been processed. At the end of each day, a daily collection report is printed.

6. Project Title: Students Administration
Organization: NIIT

Environment: Java & MS SQL Server
Description: This project is developed to computerize the entire process within a computer institution. It gives a report on the different Courses available at the center and also the fee structure and the mode of payment. The software keeps track about the student’s details and the batch to which they belong, their marks and the certificate when issued. It gives a fee defaulter list, batch wise and student wise mark sheet also.
