Manager, Wheel & Brake Shop CAA (JAR) 145 Approval
I joined this shop in 1999 and within six months was promoted to workshop manager. I then re-organized the team that consists of seven members, to an efficient professional work unit that maintains aircraft wheels & brakes for 727, 737, 747, 767 and L1011, to a high quality standard.
I am responsible for reviewing customer’s requirements, liaising with the customer on their products within our workshop, and to meet any required deadline. Estimating costs for repairs and future capability developments. Ordering and controlling stock in an efficient manner, maintaining the repair & test documentation accurately in accordance with CAA regulations.
I am also responsible for the repair and maintenance of workshop machinery including any safety requirements and regulations.
Over the past two years I have implemented a streamlined structure that has seen us as a team increase our capability and turnover well beyond our companies expectations.
