Nature of Work:

 Production Planning and Cost estimating.

 Allocating the man power and material planning for daily/weekly production.

Responsibilities:

 According to effective preplan, To achieve the given target in the production of textile processing specialty chemicals, such as dye-fixing, sequestering, wetting agents and water treatment chemicals in batch process using highly reactive intermediates, petrochemical compounds and natural derivatives under varying temperature and pressure profiles. Using DCS control.

 By effective evaluations of the energy and mass balance changes, Have to minimize the loses in raw materials and products while maximising the yield of the product.

 To shootout the troubles in production lines and to give suitable rectifications without delaying the production.

 Periodic maintenance and performance survey of equipments like batch reactors(both iso thermal and non iso thermal) surface condensers, chillers, agitators ,dryers etc,.

 To prepare and to document the daily/weekly/monthly production.

PROJECT WORK:

Title: A study on adequacy check and additional requirements for Capacity Expansion in MRL-CBR.

Description

In the project report a study is carried out on the possibilities of expansion of the existing capacity to higher capacity, with minimum investment cost and recommendations are given for the economical expansion of the plant.
This report includes the determination of yield pattern of crude oil and process design modifications in heat exchangers, pumps, vessels, storage tanks, control valves and process rundown lines.
Special care is taken to carryout the process design of crude preheat exchangers. The cost of modifications with pay back period calculation is also determined. An indicative flow diagram is also prepared for references.

Computer control in the chemical engineering branch has been found to have attractive benefits. Computer application can provide for optimum utilization of high cost manufacturing equipment. The installation of the computer reduces the share of supervising time and operating time. It is highly reliable in the case of hazardous and dangerous jobs.
Some more application of computer in chemical engineering field are manufacturing and simulation, Designing and development, Data processing in all aspects of manufacturing, expert system, research and development, designing of new molecules and polymers and robotics. The principal aim of computer control is to atomize and plant.

Title: Advanced Process control technologies in chemical Engineering

Description:
Process control technologies has been achieving phenomenal progress in the recent years. These control system greatly reduces the reaction time in controlling the process plants. These systems enables high grade networking of safety devises and using artificial intelligence in controling highly dangerous and complex process systems in nuclear, biological and bio-chemical industries etc.
