1.Java Email Package
Using the Sun JavaMail API to build a customizable email package. These involve INBOX management, folder management, email Address management and email composer.

2.SNA Gateway
Setup Microsoft Host Integration Server and communication to IBM Mainframe. Using Microsoft LUA API to develop LU0 program. This program will communicate with Microsoft Host Integration Server and indirectly talk to IBM mainframe.

3.Java Programs Development
Using IBM VisualAge for Java to design and development reusable modules such as Bulletin Board and Forum API.

·Involved in developing share-trading system and asset management system using CGI.

Projects Highlights :
1.Share trading system and asset management system
Develop some of the general library functions and involving design table structures of the systems. Based on the systems user requirements to develop pre-assigned modules of both systems using C programming in CGI environment. Develop some of the system’s reports and Bank Negara reports.
2.Technical charting projects
Study and research the chart drawing formulas. Develop general graphical charting functions using C and Java. These charting functions were used to generate PDF or GIF format files or Java Applets in the web browsers. C programs were mainly work as an information provider or backend daemon. It read the information and news stored in the database and distributed to others applications (such as CGI applications and Java Applets) through TCP sockets and ports. For each Java Applet will be send a transaction code to the back end daemon and retrieve the required information. Based on the information received and formulas provided to generate the charts such line charts, pie charts and bar charts.
3.News feeds software applications development
Studying the data exchange message format and read through all the news feeds specifications. Then, using C programming to write a daemon program that provides information and news (such as KLSE financial information and SGX’s share prices) to other applications. The daemon program actually reads the news feeds from the communication port (or line feeds) and stored the incoming news and information into IBM DB2 databases accordingly.
4.Customer Management System
Based on user requirements, use IBM Visual Age for Java designs user interfaces (Swing components). Create reusable java beans and code business logic into the application. Convert the java application to JSP technology.
5.SNA Gateway
Setup the Microsoft Host Integration Server (Windows 2000 server). Use Microsoft Visual C++ and SNA API to write a gateway application. This application will convert the TCP incoming message to SNA format then send to mainframe and vice versa. (LU6.2 and APPC protocol)
