PROJECT PROFILE

M.Tech. Thesis:

3-D Finite Element Analysis of a Barrage:
The Static and Dynamic analyses of Larji Barrage (Himachal Pradesh) were carried out by developing 3-Dimensional Finite Element models. The modeling and analyses were carried out using ANSYS Finite Element Package.

M.Tech. Project:

Earthquake Resistant Design of a 5-storied Steel Structure:
The Static and Dynamic analyses of a five storied steel structure were carried out using STAAD-Pro and few critical members were checked manually.

Department Work:

Static and Dynamic analysis of a 10 storied building affected during Bhuj Earthquake:
The work included Static and Dynamic analyses of a 10 storied building (passport building) in Ahemadabad that was affected during 26, January 2001, Bhuj Earthquake. The analyses were carried out using STAAD Pro.

B.Tech. Project:

A Study on Compressive Strength of Mortar with Partial Replacement of Cement by Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBS):
GGBS, which is a waste product, comes from steel industries, contains puzzolanic materials. Different percentages of cement were replaced by GGBS and the corresponding compressive strengths of mortar were tested for 7, 14, 28 and 60 days. 20% replacement of cement by GGBS had given optimal results.
