· Project profile
1) Project title : INTEL 8051 Micro controller
Language used : VHDL
Organization : CDAC ACTS,Hyderabad.
Description: Micro controller is known as "The computer on chip". Because of it's features of handling Interrupts, internal RAM and ROM.
Micro controller is used to control the operation of machine using fixed program which is stored in ROM and that does not change over the lifetime of the system. It is also called as " SMOKE WARE" .The dreams of an aggressive marketing department.
Team size : 4
Duration : 6 weeks.
Role : I have designed ROM of 4k and written a small program of addition and subtraction of two nos. for checking the operation of microcontroller. DECODER for decoding the instruction, DEBUGGER for writing the trace of execution of instruction, and CONTROL UNIT for 10 instructions which we have used in ROM.
2) Project title : Electrical appliance control by
telephone via PC.
Organization : V.Y.W.S College of Engineering, Badnera
Description : Any telephone handset working in fast dialing mode generates a DTMF signal. In our project, we have interface a hardware circuit to detect this DTMF signal and convert it into digital signal corresponding to each key pressed. With the help of software program written in 'C', we can easily come to know which key is pressed.
An another hardware interface unit which receives digital signal as I/P & drives switching devices such as relays using this,I/P can be employed for switching electrical devices ON & OFF by computer and hence the motive of controlling electrical devices through telephone can be accomplished.
Team size : 5
Duration : 4 months.
Role : Designed the hardware interface circuit required for our project using the digital I.C.s such as(74ls138)decoder,
(74ls121) monostable multivibrator,(74ls02) nor gate,(74ls74) d-flip flop,(74ls151) multiplexer,(uln 2003) darligton driver.
