5. Description of Major Projects Handled
1. Toshiba Multipheriphal device:
Brief Description:
§ It is multi pheriphal device having printer, copier,fax and scan modules.
§ The SNMP module will communicate to the all clients the status of the device
§ Wire less LAN implmentation provides the device capable of connecting to the
LAN without cable.
Role in project:
1. On site:
· Worked as project leader for wireless lan support for this product.
· Creating new oids in SNMP to communicate the status of the wireless card.
2. Off Shore:
· Worked for Japanese market release. It includes making the product support for two byte and extended ascii char support.
· Configuration management and quality control.

2. XSIDO gsl software:
Xsido corporation involved in developing the software for dream cast ,which will enable user to play using pc. The gsl software development mainly involves drivers required for connecting dream cast to computer and modules required to display the image using directx library.
Role in project:
My work involves simulating modules which are not developed at wipro, developing the diagnostic tool for the entire system. Design and development of the module which uses DirectX library for displaying the image with the help of stream class minidriver .
Development Environment:
Windows 2000,90 WIN32 programming using DirectX, MFC.
3. Open Diosa, NEC
Brief Description
OpenDIOSA/OP-Base, a custom middleware product from NEC is used for the distributed network management and is an Operating Base for the Multi vendor Open System. It forms the base for user application monitoring and controlling the applications using different mechanisms. It supervises software locations, performances, important messages from the user applications and from the systems, system workflow, batch job execution and command executions. It consists of a number of components. Each component consists of managers, agents and SVCs. Important Messages Referring Service (IMRS) is a message monitoring service, which is one of the important functional building blocks of OpenDIOSA/OP-Base. It provides functions to collect the incoming messages from the Agents, identify the important messages amongst them, categorize them and then save them. The IMRS SVC provides GUI to view these messages. The manager is implemented in c which will run on Unix . and the data logged in the manager will be displayed in clients which will run on windows NT. Clients are developed in VC++.
Role:
· Client interaction.
· OO Design, development and testing of IMRS Module of OPEN Diosa as module Leader.
· For Maintainence phase bug tracking using delta, and quality control.

Pentium PC and Windows DLLs, UNIX(HP).
3. Computer Aided Textile Design System (CATDS)
Brief Description
The software provides the user with graphics editing capabilities to create designs on the screen and later convert them to loom format so that the design is woven on the carpets. A comprehensive set of Drawing Tools (DT) and Editing Tools (ET) should be provided to create the designs. Object oriented concepts like inheritance, polymorphism are used extensively in this project. Got good exposure to object oriented concepts as well as MFC classes. . This Tool is mainly designed for carpet designs , special features like repeating the design in circular way or parallel way , providing private clipboard where the design can be modified , Windowing technique where only part of the design Will be enabled for modification are provided. All the features needs using the MFC class as well as object oriented techniques efficiently. File format in which both operation and the data is stored is provided for this tool so that the operations done can be retrieved back
Role in project:
The roles played for the project as a Module Leader:
· Worked for many features like drawing, rotation, maintaining libray of the images ,preview.
· design for drawing modules for this tool.
· Quality Control and configuration management.

4.Security Service Program
Brief Description:
The PC Ibars Security Service Program provides functions of security for PC Ibars which is a platform to develop financial applications. PC Ibars Security Service Program contains the following modules * COM Components for different services like User Login Access Control. * Security service Manager. * PC IBars Information Databases where all the data for the above services are maintained. Services like User Authentication, User Login, Access Control. Audit Trail and Cryptography services and implemented as an In Process server{a Dll}. These COM servers are used by the PC Ibars application will provide data to Security Service Manager where it can get back the validity according to the database values. The Security Service Manage is a standard WinNT service. Information Databases are maintained for each of the above service. The PC Ibars Application accepts inputs from each User [a subscriber of ATM] and makes calls to the various COM Components All these events are logged by all the components using Audit Component
Role in project:
The roles played for the project as Programmer:
· To send the results for the queries from SSM , involved fetching and querying according the Parameters for the sql query.
· Developed this part with SDK and ODBC , so that access will be faster compared to using MFC functions.
· Involved in code review and testing for the other COM components which are developed with ATL. Able to understand the COM /DCOM concepts thoroughly.
· Bug tracking using delta.
· Quality Control.

5 Test Database for CAD Tool
Brief Description:
TST is the Test support tool for a CAD tool. It will maintain a database file which will contain all the test details about testing done for the CAD tool . Mainly it will store the error result with the captured image. MFC is used as development environment. The error results will be captures using rubber band technique. And stored in a form along with the other details. DAO Classes are used for database part and results are stored in access file.
Role in project:
The roles played for the project as a module Leader:

· Development of entire application except GUI part and testing.
