1. PROJECT - ULD Management System (UMS)

ORGANIZATION - Mercator (Emirates Group), Dubai, UAE.

The main objective of this project is to web enable the ULD Management System used by Emirates Airlines and DNATA.
UMS is a web-based integrated Unit Load Device (ULD) Management System, which can be used by all agencies involved in ULD operations. UMS uses state-of-the-art technology to capture ULD transactions for an Airline or a Ground Handling Agent (GHA). The application can be used for tracking all activities of ULDs across their life span. It can also transmit and receive ULD related messages.
The main objectives of this project are Flight Scheduling, Inventory Control of the ULDs, SITA address, UCM (ULD Control Message) and SCM (Stock Control Message) messages.

I am working as a Consultant – Testing for Mercator (Emirates Group). I am involved in
the review of UTP and USP based on the SRS and perform testing based on the
UTP. Integration and System testing of the modules has been done and the Site Acceptance
Testing was done in the Mercator office, Dubai, U.A.E.

Currently the project is in the Second phase and Site Acceptance Testing is in process.

This project (UMS) was developed by IBS, Trivandrum.

2. PROJECT - Shell Cards Application (SCP)

The main objective of this project is to web enable the cards application used by Shell Oman Marketing. This process is done in different stages. This Application provides the user to download the application forms for creating new accounts. A part of the database is replicated to the web from the existing system that provides the user with the following reports: 1. Card Details, 2. Card Transactions, 3.Transactions for Filling Stations, 4.Invoice related reports, and 5.Statement of Accounts. At any point of time the user will be provided with 3 months of data. A separate module that takes care of the data uploading from the existing system to the web database is developed. SSL support is provided for encrypted transmission.
I was involved in preparation of Test Plans for Integration and System Testing, Review of the
UTP and USP based on the SRS and send the review report to the Project Manager. Unit
Testing, Integration testing of the modules, tested Using WinRunner 6.0. As per the client’s
Requirements, cross – Browser compatibility check is also performed.

Purchase Request is a B2B e-model developed as a part of the main project Switch2Clicks. This portal mainly brings the Sellers and Buyers together by easy to use custom tools. It practically focuses on the usual Buyer to Seller transaction and vice versa. The system involves Home page design, user registration, login, forgot password, change password, update profile, product proposals, order status, search options and all relevant admin options. Special features like online shopping, shopping cart, view cart and checkout are developed using cookies. Components (Persists inc. USA), which are used for image upload. An auto-email is sent to every registered user, using the SMTP service. CBT is a highly successful venture in e-learning solutions that deliver lasting learning value. Screens are captured using Athena (Author ware) tool and the contents are put in for the respective screens and then delivered to the client. It is a CD-ROM-based training program in the latest information skills. To date, Zenith and Quest have produced over 150 CDs on IT skills in which I had worked for more than 75 titles. I was involved in preparing course material for training, helping in Quality related documentation, helped in defining standards for Software Development life cycle quality management, defined and created templates for various phase documents like, entire CBT courseware design, explaining CBT Titles to the Development Teams, Maintaining Quality Standards provided by the clients, Finalizing samples and examples for the CBT Projects, Enhancing value of the CBT Products, Requirements and Design documents, GUI guidelines and coding standards, Tests plans and review templates and performed Manual Testing of all the titles.

The system is a fully integrated Management System, which efficiently Manages and controls the 5ESS Switch. The system runs on a scaleable HP 9000 series hardware platform & utilizes a GUI based user interface JAM.01, TUXEDO 6.0 & the On Line Database management System INFORMIX 7.01. As a member of Technical Staff I handled three modules: Administration, ALAS, ILAS.

Administration Module: This module administers all the activities regarding the administration and includes activities such as establishing TMS-5 security and setting up default support tables and system parameters, which affect the entire system. It facilitates tracking & reporting of Trouble Tickets, Service Orders, Stock Inventory, and Cable Management, configuration of equipment and services assigned to an employee, and provides for centralizing billing information for each employee.

ALAS - Analog Line Assignment System Module: The ALAS feature of the TMS-5 Product can automatically assigns lines with load balancing across 5ESS hardware equipment.

ILAS (ISDN Line Assignment System Module): ILAS (ISDN Line Assignment System) was a very crucial module of a massive Telecom Project. The ILAS feature can automatically assign lines with load balancing across 5ESS hardware equipment. Main feature of this project is single line eight users. I was involved in Screen design of the three modules (Admin, ALAS, and ILAS), Coding of the above said three modules (Admin, ALAS, and ILAS), Developed Load Group and Class of Service using C validation functions in the back-end, Preparation of Unit test plan and Unit testing.
