PROJECT WORKS
M.Tech Mix design for rigid pavement using Fly Ash
Description This project has been done for Raichur Thermal Power Station, Raichur. Fly Ash, an unavoidable waste product of coal from thermal power plants is one of the most commonly used artificial pozzolana. An effort has been made in this thesis to apply the improved characteristics of flyash concrete for the evaluation of pavement thickness for different grades of concrete by replacing the cement with different percentages of flyash. A detailed investigation has been carried out to investigate compressive strength, flexural strength, split tensile strength and modulus of elasticity of flyash concrete. Improvements in the strength characteristics of flyash concrete are checked with the change of flyash content as well as change in mix grade.
B.Tech Analysis and design of multi-storeyed residential complex
Description Multi-storeyed buildings are inevitable to meet the requirements of a common man in this fast growing population especially in the cities. In addition, multi-storeyed buildings are more economical when compared to individual houses. A house should allow flexibility in plan and it should take the full advantage of natural sources like sun, wind and environment. In this project, keeping all the above said characteristics in mind, an effort has been made to design a residential complex not only structurally stable but also comfortable and economical. This building consists of five floors, each floor consists of four flats. Analysis has been done using substitute frame method and design in limit state method.
