 Chief Geologist’s appreciation letter for developing innovative techniques to monitor blind drilling, 1997
 Vice-Chairman’s award for initiating computerized exploration review presentation, 1989
 Chairman’s award for best paper (in-house technical essay competition), 1988

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

 Identified five locations in an established syncline in Rudrasagar field after re-interpretation & review of data, four of which are declared oil producers
 Detected an unexpected shallow oil sand (the only oil sand encountered in the well) in GS-16-15, modified the casing policy for this potential reservoir
 Convinced Authority to deepen the well GS-15-6, resulting in the discovery of an oil sand and three gas sands, based on a conceptualized basin modeling with the help of well-site analysis, geological interpretation of seismic, electrolog and petrophysical data
 Active involvement and critical analysis during production testing in well GS-15-4, led to discovery of potential oil & gas producing horizons
 Developed innovative techniques for monitoring of blind drilling above high-pressured horizons. The subsurface correlation in the absence of drilled-cuttings and gas shows timely helped in modifying the casing policy in well ABAA
 Timely predicted encountering of high-pressured water sands and terminated drilling in Exploratory well GS-37-1
 Critical analysis of stuck-up problem in well G-16-26, a high-pressured deviated well, led to the successful completion of well
 Suggestion for circulating mud in riser annulus during the reservoir study in well G-1-9 (Deep-Water) helped in avoiding oil congealing in production string
SKILLS

 Acquainted with various exploration and interpretation skills for oil and gas exploration and development
 Well versed with well-site monitoring techniques for Jack-up rig and drill-ship
 Acquired expertise for on-the-spot identification of geological signatures, based on drilled-cutting analysis, mud logging data and correlation of electrologs and seismic records
 Excellent interpersonal skill for inter-disciplinary coordination
 Mastered a fairly good knowledge on offshore drilling technology, mud system, supervision of mud logging, well testing, reservoir engineering and well complication analysis
 Acquainted with Promax, OutRider and Windows softwares
