Provided system level technical support on the implementation of the BT Cellnet roll-out and expansion project, site and customer support on the existing GSM/BSS network, liased with staff within customer and Nokia organisations on technical aspects of the deliver phase of the project, performed the detailed project planning, resource scheduling, controlling, progress monitoring and evaluation. This project involved on-site technical support for the commissioning and integration of the Nokia Talk-Family and UltraSite base stations.

Testing CURSORä system, the leading manufacturer of E-OTD (Enhanced Observed Time Difference) location technology for mobile telephones, testing and upgrading GSM handsets using GSM simulation equipment, recording drive test measurements and comparisons between software modified handset co-ordinates and MapInfo, GPS Link, GPS (TRIMBLE DSM212L/TSIP) results, including the analysis of test results. Main duties were Commissioning PCOM, (2E1, 4E1, 8E1 and 16E1), 22/38GHZ, TELESCIENCE and MRC (2E1 and 4E1), 22/38GHZ, SAIE 7.5GHZ Space diverse, 13/14/22GHZ protected and unprotected microwave equipment. Supervising rigging personnel employed to ensure radio Path line up and achieved RSL meet link budget specification. This involved measuring the TX/RX levels using Marconi power meter. Establishing the 10-6 receiver threshold performance using rotary vein attenuator/BER testers, checked correct operation of radio equipment alarms and their visibility back at the regional switch centre, ensured error free operation of all channels of radio equipment deployed using various BER test equipment. Performing return loss measurements using a Marconi 6203 Tester to ensure any wave-guide deployed meets Orange PCS specifications. Other duties involved integration test calls, circuit orders, LOS, site surveys, faultfinding, and supervising overseeing BT lease line installations.
