PROJECT EXPERIENCE
I have more than 4 years of experience in the IT industry. I have worked for Universal Robina Corporation from April 1997 to May 1998 as an Application Development Specialist and have developed applications in a client/server environment using PowerBuilder 4.0/5.0, Sybase System 10 & 11, and MSSQL Server 6.5. In June 1998 I have transferred to Aspanet Resources Inc. and was assigned as Programmer Analyst. In November 1999 I was involved in system development for online insurance of Zurich Philippines, Inc. In November 2000 I have been assigned as Analyst Programmer in Singapore Telecommunication Ltd. and have been involved in the development of Billing System. Given below is a brief write-up on some of the projects I have handled at each company.

Singapore Telecommunications Ltd.

Name of the Project : MPlus Billing System
Period : July 2001 To Present

Scope of the Project
MPlus Billing System is an online application programmed in Gupta environment. It comprises of 10 modules such as System Admin, Reference, Maintenance, Order Entry, Rec/Adj, Query, Appointee, Reseller, ISP8118, and BM Reports. Generally this application covers the billing system of mobile and land line customers. This application will be converted in PowerBuilder environment.

My Contribution
I was responsible for the conversion of programs from Gupta environment to PowerBuilder. I have successfully converted programs of the following modules: System Admin, Reference, Maintenance, Query, Appointee and BM Reports.

Name of the Project : Singpost Bill Pages

Scope of the Project
Singpost Bill Pages is a program that mainly used to generate mail labels. It generates reports that will satisfy different criteria for accounts mail label printing.

My Contribution
I have developed the Singpost Bill Pages alone. I have created the application based on the requirements. I have performed testing, user training and system implementation. I have also documented all necessary data and produced user manual.

Scope of the Project
Conversion System is an intermediate tool between Inmarsat Credit Management System (IRCM) and Maritime Billing System (MBS). It is used to populate data from MBS to IRCM in Month end Accounting Run.

My Contribution
I have modified different scripts written in Unix Shell Scripts and Macro of Tera Term Pro 2.3. I have amended screen layouts of data transfer based on user requirements using PowerBuilder 7.0. I have created programs for different conversion processes.

Scope of the Project
IRCM is a system that provides records and queries on various accounting transactions relating to bills owed by maritime customers. It comprises of different modules such as Acceptances, Rejections, Payments, Ledger Transfers, Write Offs and Credit Control.

My Contribution
I have amended the system based on the user requirements. I was responsible for the development of new master file for currency & currency rate. I have developed new transactions on dispute transfer with different type of currency. I have created different reports needed on monthly accounting run. I was also assigned for the maintenance of monthly accounting run which is usually debugged on Digital Unix and Tera Term Pro 2.3. Analyzed and documented functionality of all previously created stored procedures and triggers.

Zurich Philippines Inc.

Name of the Project : Business Development Center System (BDCS)
Period : November 1999 To November 2000

Scope of the Project
BDCS has four major modules such as Insurance Application Data Entry, Policy Issuance, Payment, and Data Transfer. These modules are essential for the process of customers' insurance applications from different branches of the company. The policy issuance and approval of the applications can be done in any branches because the system is online. Database structure is designed using Sybase Adaptive Server 6.0. This system was scripted and implemented under client/server environment using PowerBuilder 6.5 as front-end.

My Contribution
As a Consultant/Analyst Programmer, I was responsible for the database design of the system. I have developed application's data entry for the customers, data transfer from different branches to head office, policy issuance and approval of the application. I have created all the letters and reports templates for the approved and declined applications.

Aspanet Resources Inc.

Name of the Project : Y2K Solutions
Period : June 98 To May 99

Scope of the Project
Y2K Solutions is a project covering database conversion from one flatform to another. Applications and systems from different clients affected by millennium bug were analyzed and fixed using SQL Conversion Workbench Tool. It is also covered in this project the evaluation of clients’ procedures and computerized business systems as a basis for recommending revisions and formulating modifications or changes to fix year-2000 problems or to streamline operations.

My Contribution
I was assigned as Programmer Analyst responsible in providing support to the sales and marketing team during technical presentation of Y2K solutions. I have established guidelines and procedures to fix year-2000 problems. I have browsed and modified different systems that contain program codes in PowerBuilder, Cobol, FoxPro and Clipper to make the system Y2K Compliant. Most of my programming side is in PowerBuilder 6.0 environment. Handled training of some Programmer Analyst in the team about PowerBuilder, Sybase System 11.2 and MSSQL Server 6.5.

Name of the Project : Pacific and Indian Ocean Restoration Committee (PIRC)
Period : January 99 to February 99

Scope of the Project
PIRC is a website used to analyze and evaluate the client's needs for the restoration committee such as Request For Comments (RFC) Discussion Group. The system provides a means for users to discuss RFC in a newsgroup format.

My Contribution
As a Programmer Analyst I was responsible in providing support to the consulting and network group for any incoming project from the clients. I have enhanced the PIRC web site particularly the RFC module. Developed a page for user logon data entry.

Scope of the Project
ENCORE is an integrated distribution system that comprises different modules such as Accounts Receivable, Direct Invoicing, Order Fulfillment System, Stock Replenishment and Inventory.

My Contribution
Functioned as an Application Development Specialist responsible for the modification of different modules of ENCORE. I have dealt with the requirements of various corporate/divisions or departments involved in the systems to be enhanced or developed. I have prepared systems proposal for review and concurrence by the users and the management. I have prepared users' manual and operations guide. Handled orientation with system users on the actual operations of the system.

Name of the Project : Robinson's Supermarket Ordering System
Period : May 97 To June 97

Scope of the Project
Robinson’s Supermarket Ordering System is an application designed for an electronic ordering system between Robinmart and Central Distribution Services Inc. (CDSI). The system is used mainly in making orders based on the transmitted item master file from CDSI and receiving deliveries. Text file transmission is processed via modem. This was implemented under PC Network environment using FoxPro for Windows Ver. 2.6.

My Contribution
Developed the Robinson's Supermarket Ordering System alone. I have formulated a logical, economical and practical system design per existing operations of the supermarket. Project development included system analysis and design, flowcharting, program coding, system testing, user training and documentation.
