This project mainly deals with the compression & decompression the files in order to save the disk space. This project works on the principle of LZW algorithm.( Lempel-Ziv-Welch).Using this program the text file size can be reduced & can be stored. The compressed file is saved with an extension .zzz to recognize. When we want to decompress we have to decompress that .zzz file.

This project was done under the Sunitech India Pvt Ltd as part of a project. The encryption was done with a cypher key given by the user and the cypher text was read into a 2-dimensional matrix row wise and it was stored Columnwise according to the numbering given to the key. The key is used to decrypt the Encrypted file. So the encrypted file will be a shuffle of characters of the source file.
