Audit & Systems Development Manager
I introduced an internal audit function and also managed the IBM RS6000 processor for the Group Accounting (£28M turnover). I implemented the advanced Multisoft General Ledger and supervised the transition from the earlier Datafile system and assisted in the development of computerisation for the retail centres. I also managed the in-house computer network and was a party to the production of a strategic plan for the development of Information Technology.

Reporting directly to the owner and managing director, I introduced computerised systems to the Group (including the five-star Carlton, in Bournemouth) and also introduced and administered a consolidated head office accounting function. Group Financial Controller
I designed and implemented all accounting and administrative procedures for this Greenfield Site project and subsequently managed all reporting processes.
I became Project Manager for the subsequent development of the £13.5M Brookes Hotel, Solihull (now QMH) and was involved in raising capital (including a share issue), grants, cash allocation to the build project and liaison with a variety of third parties, including European Banks.
