Duties Assigned -

· All routine tests in haematology, blood bank (immunohaematology), clinical biochemistry, clinical pathology, histopathology and cytology laboratories.

· Screening of blood donors, blood compatibility testing and blood grouping.

· Maintenance of stock, and preparation of blood components.

· Special haematological procedures.

· Coagulation workup and screening tests for patients with antiphospholipid antibody.

· Factor assays (Coagulation factors).

· Preparation of bone marrow smears.

· Worked with cell counters, blood gas analysers, electrolyte machines, semi & fully automated biochemical autoanalysers.

· ELISA testing for HIV, HbSag, VDRL.

· Parasitology - wet preparation of faecal material for microscopic examination in intestinal parasitic infection.
